Hey girl! Thx for posting!!! Its so nice to know that i'm not the only one with skin problems!! I've had eczema all my life, i'm allergic to the sun and drugstore sunblock, aloe, plus millions of food allergies!! So i feel ur pain! And for those that dont believe me about the sun allergy... Its real! Its called pmle! I get that a lot. But anyway, i found a really good allergy doctor and he was able to treat most of the food allergies and my eczema is much better! I still break out here n there
hey im sensitive to deodorants and thought Dove was the only thing i could use, but it ended up breaking me out too after a while. Im very sensitive to lotions and so then I used Almay clear deo, but that broke me out too! So on a whim I tried the Secret blueberry white tea and it hasnt irritated me at all. Just a though..
@MALBABYYYx it's because the cream has steroids in it which makes your skin thin and ages you but when you have eczema you get to a point where you would rather age than be in pain.
@MALBABYYYx most normal eye creams are fine but quite alot of eczema creams have steroids in them so check the labels and look it up online to make sure.
I have eczema on my face (eyes and one cheek) and I've found that Dr Hauschka products are amazing. I use the Cleansing Cream and the Rose Day Cream - they're super moisturising (so no flakies!) and really really gentle. At night i use the Mario Badescu Control Cream - freaking incredible stuff. These products are a little pricey, but you can get samples to try first to see if they work for you. Thanks for another great video!
Most moisturizers suck or clog your pores. As far as things Ive tried the best products have comed out straight from wholefoods or organic stores. Since Ive switched to cleansers that dont strip my skin (alba cleansing milk, cetaphil, ST. Ives makeup remover, oils) I rarely need heavy duty moisturizers. I just Use Emu oil, or Vit E, or grapeseed oil, wichever oil I have around really. Then Clinique sunscreen. Works great. :)
Omg im so glad i came across this vid. i have dry, sensitive skin and eczema too. My face recently got a rash and burning red because of the weather change & Eucerin original is the best thing ever for it right now. This comment is mad long lol but this vid was helpful & im gonna try some of those products!
i also have a super dry skin and i've been using the Clinique's 3-step skin care for almost 2 years and it works fine for me. though when my eczema hits me back i stop using anything and just wash my face with water and apply hydrocortisone (the mildest steroid cream). i use Elocon too and as you also said, it's very strong so just apply it very thin. what products do you use for eye shadows?
Aquaphor is nice for around the eye area, it's made by Eucerin. I have eczema also and have to be very careful what i use. Cetaphil and Cerave are also good brands for sensitive, dry skin, and they are fragrance free.
You might want to try Tom's of Maine deodorant. I use Eucerin Aquaphor, it helps keep my skin moist all day long, for lighter moisturizer I use the Cetaphil moisturizing creme. And I rashes itches I use an ice pack, it helps a lot. I will use the steroid ointment only when it's severe.
Have you tried pure unrefined Shea Butter? I had really tight, dry skin but the Shea butter really relieves any dryness. It's very very heavy and leaves you kind of slick and shiny, but it moisturizes like no other.
you are ridiculously beautiful! but naturally beautiful, not too made up or anything. i never comment on videos, i'm not a stalker & i'm straight, but seriously, you are too pretty. :)
watch out for any moisturizer (i.e. Cliniques) that has DIMETHICONE....even if id dosent irritate your skin or break you out...it is horrible for your skin
Just wanted to drop a note about a fantastic line aimed to moisturize sensitive, rough, chipped and eczema-prone skins. It is called A-derma Exomega (French company). I don´t know if you can get it over there in States but it is incredibly efective.
is there a special make up for eczema? cuz i have it on the sides of my face. and.. can u get tats or piercings with eczema.. cuz im scared it will puff up. and another question.. i wanted to move to san francisco for college, do u think that the weather over there will affect my skin?
Could you tell me what I should use? I always get pimples and dryness. I have now holidays and I don't wanna go out because I will have to use this Dream Matte
your skin doesn't look bad at all... I have patches all over my legs (gross)... It's summer in Louisiana... and I've been wearing pants all month... :(
.. if you have a prescription it's like $10 (& you only need a little bit). LA ROCHE POSAY's line is expensive but was recommended by an aesthetician and is very gentle (it may not be substantial enough on very dry skin, however). also, i've been told zinc supplements are good for eczema? by doctors? but i've never tried it.
YES! la roche posay is the number one brand recommended by derms in canada..best spf you can by...i never thought the light consistency of these prducts could moisturize properly...but no there awesome!
I totally agree! La Roche Posay is really a relief for people suffering from atopic eczema. I also recommend their Hydraphase eye gel, it's soothing and refreshing.
it's nice to know other folks are doing the same trial and error stuff. i used moisture surge in high school! but have switched since to a combination of aveeno ultra calming lotion and LA ROCHE POSAY ROSALIAC (both, really). i've never had eczema on my face but i have recurring patches on my hands/inside elbows. have you tried PROTOPIC? i have hyper-reactive skin (prone to redness, breakouts, hives, all fun things) and it totally fixed my eczema. it's goopy and a pain but it's worth it, and
Aveeno Skin Relief Body Lotion is great on the body - maybe you could give it a go? I know you were worried about using it in a previous video. I've been using it for months and months and it's still excellent. I don't like it on my face though.
Have you used derma smooth peanut oil?? My daughter has bad eczema and is using it now and it works!! Very happy but I don't know what it could do to her skin later. Do you know anything about it??
I heard of something called the lush dream body cream that works really well for eczema. All their products are handmade and natural. There are a lot of positive reviews on it for people with eczema. I've never tried it because it has some perfume in it but there were no complaints from people w/ eczema that have used it so I'm really considering trying it. I just wanted to let you know so you can check it out.
i have REALLY REALLY DRY SKIN gets flakey too and have few spots. i have tried clean n clear moisturiser and neutrogena one which people say is good, well its a little bit better than clean and clear and i still get really dry skin and flakey too, and have quite a lot of spots lol not a lot going for me lol. will that eucerin be ok to use u think, does it clog pores. thx
If you have a bad reaction you can try Benadryl allergy, but only before bed, because it makes you drowsy. Get tested for allergies, and avoid only what the doc tells you. I avoid spraying perfume directly on my skin. I put it on my clothes instead, on occasion. I avoid synthetic clothing and wool. I don't use fabric softener sheets. I prefer cotton clothing or acrylic sweaters. Use All Clear or some other gentle laundry detergent. I avoid aerosol products and fragrances as much as possible.
In winter I like to use plain mineral oil after my lotion on my body, not on my face. This works wonders. It's good because there's no irritating fragrance or harsh chemicals. I avoid hair spray and strong smelling shampoos and conditioners. I haven't had excema for years, but I'm still sensitive and have had a few reactions. Having a good haircut for your natural hairtype is the way to go, because you use less products.
I use Elocom as well, its very strong but in the winter i find myself depending alot on it. Do you know if there is anything else that is as effective as elocom, but that isn't a corticosteroid? Thank you. Love your videos, keep them comming. even though I'm a guy, I'm learning alot on how to control my eczema from you, thank you.
if your skin is itchy try, aveeno baby soothing relief moisture cream. also check out the aveeno lip conditioner. love, love, love it :) (i also use chapstick 100% natural lip butter!). i still have a problem with flaky skin though. bleh.

Ooh! I'll have to check out their creamy face wash! (Ha and thanks for the hair comment, I cut my bangs two weeks ago BY MYSELF and my hair was pretty frightful and finally they are growing!). We have to do what we gota do for moisture! And I have seen both crystal deos and Tom and Main's but I've smelled their deo's and they didn't really make me go crazy for them. If Dove doesn't work, I'll look into them!

You know how you mentioned in the video how some say it is bad to moisturize too much around the eyes; why would this be?
I would think it is good to provide a lot of moisture around your eye are because of the delicate skin and prevention of fine lines.
