  • just put on a headphone and pump up the volume!

  • apparently there's a lot of deaf people around here. by the way are those birds in the background (sound, not video)?

  • It's just cause the soud may be faster than the video recording

  • yea is realy low sound here

  • I couldnt hear a thing with my volume on 100

  • ahahahah

  • This song was a russian folk song, as it was programmed by a russian.

  • FAAAAAAAAAAAAASTER

  • DEEEEEEEEPER!!!

    ...wait... whut?! xD

  • HAHA Owned XD

  • thanks and it's good to see people still watching this video because i recorded two years before hehe :)

  • Speed does not mean quality.

Though impressive, such a high tempo can ruin the feel of the song...

  • And guess what? The Tetris theme IS classical music, a traditional Russian folk song called Korobeiniki.

    Video game music is beautiful.

  • And the real trip is that if you move it all one key down on the piano, it sounds like a German classical piece.

  • If you move that German classical piece one key up on the piano, sounds like a traditional russian folk song...

  • woah, crazy!

  • How is it called?

  • How is what called? The tetris-one-note-down thing doesn't have a name, something I came up with when I wasn't paying attention to where my hands were on the piano.

  • Korobeiniki

  • By moving one key down, you mean, like putting it into a different mode or simply transpose it?

  • Simply transposing it.

  • jeffman3, I just tried it on the piano.. it really does sound like a clasical piece you've mentioned, but in a weird Locrian mode... Simply transposing it to another key (let say, from A minor to G minor) wouldn't change the way it sounds, just the pitch.

  • I'd say I agree, but all I can do is read the music and play; I don't know any of that fancy stuff. I just know that moving what key on the keyboard/piano you start on can do some crazy stuff to music.

  • Sorry :) I didn't want to sound fancy or like showing off :) All in good intention. Cheers! ;)

  • Ah, no worries. I know of the words but not know what they mean; just a teenaged punk still in his first year of piano playing. Maybe some day, y'know?

  • @meteosmaster not classical music by the real terms of what classicism is

  • I listen to 22 people and your's it's the fastest korobeiniki so far. Constant rhythm.

  • agree

  • Flawless! amazing only one tiny mistake, thats really good!

  • Cool!

  • That was awesome. Great Job!

  • so, why dont u play it by yourself? whats the problem with game musics? isnt that real music?

people created these musics, and bet on it to people like, so its still real music -.-

  • Fucking elitists suck.

  • WOW and FF? You're complaining about someone playing tetris music, when you pay money every month to kill elves in a virtual world? Wow.

  • Seriously get a grip, music is music, and thats it. Don't be a snob, songs like super mario bros. and the tetris theme are just as hard and can be even more demanding as classical songs. and they're equally beautiful.

  • You're still quite the cock-mongler.

  • thats not weird at all

    (see a therapist)

  • you have a crush on cutiemish?

  • Too fast, some parts are a bit inaccurate since you're playing so fast, your fingers don't seem to be used to it so they're skipping notes because they're not strong enough because you didn't practice this enough and just went fast too early. Even if this was really accurate, it would still be too fast.

  • aww yay! mortal kombat & the tetris theme!

i think im in love! ^_^

  • i'm just in the training with this song and i'm a bit save playin it through but my speed is far away from yours ;>

  • I can play about this fast, any faster and my hands start to hurt a lot.

  • the beginning was kinda fast..but i like it anyways...i would post a vid of mine...but i dont have a camera....good job dude!!

  • fingers are moving so fast lol. cool vid

  • I like how it says this is the fastest korobushka, and it starts off so slow... then BAM right into the fast stuff. =) Nice contrast between a commonly-heard version and a quick one.

  • 1:13 good mark. But i can do better.. Although I have no camera to upload video, and my piano has the pedal broken... I played with your video and i was faster, but just a few seconds (with no mistakes)

  • says someone who sits around watching Tetris theme videos on YouTube.

  • Haha. Nice one.

  • yeah... you can't be good at something and still manage to have a life at the same time... that just wouldn't make sense right?

  • A broken pedal... Oh, I know. It's the same with my piano :P

  • oh how coincidental that you can do better but have no means of proving it. Put up or shut up

  • actualy, korobuska is the same as korobieniki theres also another name but i forgot

  • Korobushka is the old folk version, much better than the tetris one

  • no emotion, but good!

  • yes you can download it from

    pianosquall . c o m/file_download/92

  • do you have the music sheet? o.o

  • Piano Squall

  • HEY COOL

  • ALIAS A PRIMEIRA PARTE EH LENTO

    what does that mean?

  • I think it´s portuguese, it means that the music should have a slow intro.

  • tx for portuguese to english translation :)

  • @nemedzerian Russian ^^

  • "for the first part, it is slow" is what that means

  • ALIAS A PRIMEIRA PARTE EH LENTO

  • i thought the tetris game music should not have a slow intro :)

  • VERY well done, bravo! Being of Russian origin, enjoyed your interpretation of this song immensely, thank you!

  • tx for your comment :)

  • Great job my man!
