I always thought that they were using some type synthesizer/electronic organ (obviously) and electrical violins. Meh, doesn't matter it is awesome either way. Would be interesting to see how they composed the more "progressive" music pieces in the game.

I used to hate Netherstorm and Netherstorm music. Back at 70 I couldn't wait to leave it and said I would never look back at it with nostalgia.

Burning Crusades was my favorite expansion for WoW...I started playing a month after BC came out and loved Outland. The deep fantasy atmosphere of Outland was so awe inspiring and even a little intimidating, lol. In this song, my favorite part is that little sound series that starts at 1:41 and goes to 1:50, almost sounds like someone chanting.

[2006-2010] I can't wait till I log back in WoW after quitting for nearly a year. After I advance the next five levels to 85, I'll most likely return to places such as Netherstorm to finally complete my reputation with the Consortium. I remember years ago working on it for the plans for my flying machine or turbo, don't remember. But I miss hanging out here and will return shortly. I really miss the Outlands as a whole, Netherstorm & I enjoy the music. Good Times=]

I've been playing wow for a year and just now got a character up to lvl for Outland - oh my god! I love it! :D the music and the scenery is so amazing! And just the excitement of going through the portal, the whole story element with the blood elf pilgrims and everything going on in Outland... <333

And a lot of people said this reminds them of starcraft. To me it doesnt. Its unique and really weird. Starcraft is classical sci-fi franchise and outland doesnt reminds me of that. It feels to me like there were a almost infinite travel trough space and then again and again and then just feeling the atmosphere and then... voala outland...

Netherstorm music has a great buildup, not too soft, sort of alien like. Which is fitting, since the zone is all purple-ish. This and Shadowmoon are my two favorite music scores in all of WoW. Hellfire comes in third.

Outland is hyper pro invention of Blizzard ...everything back in TBC was so epic ...even ITEMS were sooo beautiful as hell. Even Outland is much more beautiful than ANYTHING in Cata, WOTLK and classic WoW together ! I play Cata and I love it, I played WOTLK and I loved it, also classic WoW. But ...When I go to Outland...My feels are changed...I can't describe to you because you won't understand me ...but Outland has some potencial of mega beauty...maybe becase I'm bored of Azeroth...but still.

Wow made my last comment over a year ago...I think the reason that opinions were so divided over the first and second expansion is because of taste. Some folks love scifi (myself included) so we jumped on the idea of visiting an alien world with strange new environments. Others prefer more down to earth fantasy type stuff, and jumped on the idea of fighting against an undead army in the frozen wastes of Northrend. Either way both expansions were great!

NO, there WOTLK is the best expanasion, when i came to northrind i started to feel myself like in home, yet when i played the Buring crusade i was feeling that im inside some box, but when i came to northinrnd there was sky clouds and alot of things, in outland were good locations as well, but this atmoshpehere i cloudnt realy feel, i cloud play there for 2 hours then i was getting pised of by outland, but when i played in northnind its was soo good feelings, and never tired of it! Its the best!

@SkaterAdsk6 well thats like a tiny little thing of the game. Reason WOTLK sucks is because the instances are booring and WAY to easy. in TBC I could always do HC instances even ones that I hate. But in wotlk there isn't 1 singel one and no and I repeat NO HC'S are hard at all. Thats what Blizzard are working their ass off with now in Cata to make HC really be hard. TBC had hard instances some easy but still some hard ones and therefor much more fun. Wotlk is a joke a huge fail. Cata ftw and tbc

Not at all! This part becomes for me just like home, i liked this atopshere, its was bigger twice then outland, there was good athmosphere very good, in outland its was only in Nagrand, but its nortind in whole map, and instaces wasnt easy at all, if the heroics where easy for you, you should try some raids, then you would find very hard stuff, there was more raids then in TBC, and you cloud even try heroic raid, for very hard ones, so they wasnt mitkaen at all,the most fun was in the WOLTK,!

@SkaterAdsk6 all the instances were easy as hell you do know about Naxx right? it was stupidly easy compared when it came in vanilla besides the raids are similar more easy then the other expansions. When new raids here came they were cleaned twice as fast as in TBC. just look at LK. killed FIRST DAY he was opened.. nice huh? first time ever a End boss is killed first singel day. that says alot. I am all inn for opinions, so I can relate you like WOTLK more. PS: you are the first I hear who does

Dont understimate the lich king, its was just by luck if they managed took him down, pheraps its wasnt in heroic, but heroic was for times harder i think, in lidian were more boses thats why its was like this, maybe if even instaces too easy, its wasnt all the part of game, there also was coler maps, and there was better pvp stuff, the area was huger by itself, its was first area suronded by water where i cloud fly, there was much interesting qvest then in tbc,even if LK weak, the map better its

There more better stuff then in outland, fight mounts, the huge pvp are in nortinrnd, and more more beatfill things then in TBC, i can never stop, lich king is much better alwayes. The outland is puny thing, its was boring.

@Melenonel Well lets see, in the outland was the same sort of qvests then in classic wow, but in lich king its was all changed, every qvest was leading to somethng, you cloud sit in some sort of machine and kill thousnads enamiyes with one shot, there was better history aswell, raid dosent mean everything, everyone has their points of views, in outland i played 2 mounths and i got pissed off of it, but LK took 8 months to get abit boring, and most all was fun.

I feel like I've been cheated... Burning Crusade was the thing that made me love WoW, and it made the game stick out in my mind as not just another MMO. Throughout all of Wrath of the Lich King the feeling just hasn't been there. I'd pay anything for BC-only realms.

i think in the next expansion after catacalysm they should make a new continent that is in the outland with the same basic ideals that they brought this one to life so well with. That would be wonderful, and everyone would be happy to return to the outland once more
