Blu-rays are doing much better than HD-DVDs and getting closer to DVDs but the real winner is downloadable movies which the Playstation Network now supports. The only game that takes advantage the PS3's Cells processor is Killzone2 and thats not even out yet. I'm ready for the future and I'm so glad I've had my PS3 for this past year.

The ps3 is built for the future,I just don't think the world's ready for it, I'm cool I got a 360 and wii, along with a bunch of other systems haha,ps3 is taking a risk, I'm just hoping they don't fall on thier face, If I checked I bet blue-ray sales will be in gutter, we really aren't ready for this kind of shit, maybe in a year or two blue-ray will do good and more people will go ps3, but without the community support I don't think psn will be doing THAT good, but it will hold it's weight, :)

blu-ray sales aren't in the gutter, they beat hddvd a while ago and are the only real "next-gen" dvds available.

Xbox360 and Ps3 are equal the only difference is Ps3 is better in the processor/disc and the xbox360 has more RAM, so if they use sony's potential of the processor the xbox360 is going to look like such a downgrade, but I highly doubt HDMI and blu-ray is at it's peak we will see newer versions of HDMI and Blue-ray in the future, this just new technology and I don't care, I've had my xbox360 since 2005, don't mean it's great, it's loud, it dies and the THICK CONTROLLERS but I'm ok with that :)

1. It's in beta stage still.

2. It's JUST been released to the public.

3. Like most sony products it's due to be updated over the years to come, not just the first few weeks.

And 4. Most newer exclusive games, and perhaps some on both consoles, are beggining to have home in mind, whereby they are utilizing it to become more connective for gamers.

No, you either haven't played the Sims or you never used Home. The Sims is a pretty bad game. It's a LIFE SIMULATION GAME.

Home is just a 3D socializing application. It's free and it's currently not a finished product.

It doesn't define the PSN, it's just a key part of it. Your not forced to use it but it's there and it's a great way to make PS3 friends to play games with. You can however, if you like it THAT much, buy additional content or houses.

The point of it is to make friends. If you like socializing then you'll like Home.

It's taking those avatars you can make on the 360 or the Wii a lot further and allowing you to interact with the entire PS3 community rather than just your friends list.
