Hankook89, most rotary engines are on rich tunes. For whatever reason, if the engine leans out and knocks, there goes the engine. At the very least a cracked iron or damaged apex seal. At the worst, the whole motor is gone and will need to be replaced. However, the rew is alot stronger than the re and the s5 re has stronger irons and better dowel-lands than s4 re.

Yeah but its better rich than lean. Only bad thing about running to rich is the carbon buildup. These guys are pinning the rev limiter during their drift sessions anyway so carbon buildup isnt much of a concern for them. Like someone said, all it takes is one lean spot and POP goes the weasel lol
