His voice could make a cat cough up a fuckin' hairball, but DAMN, he can play. Note to you shredders... mothball whatever gear you have that enables you to "shred" & get a hollowbody with a bigsby string it with 11 gauge strings, lose all of your picks,& get a class A tube amp with a spring reverb tank & NO effects & if you can tough it out for about a year, you can then call yourself a guitarist!

He's doing "hybrid picking"which is basically picking most of the bass type stuff, then embellishing it with nice finger rolls & such.His whole act is so polished,and he definitely can play!A lot of guitarist don't pursue this type of music because it's more work.All Hail THE REV!

for the intro riff at 0:03. Is he fingerpicking those two E notes on the D string, or is he using a pick. Its so much easier to use a pick, but it kind of sounds like hes using his fingers.
