@superdancast actually tales of phantasia came first, and i remeber this in the game, almost every castle had an underground magic lab, and the midguard had the cannon thingy, but yeah tales of symph had it too but it was in this game first.

Well I've never played this game, but this first episode seemed fairly good when I compare it to the Tales of Symphonia OVA. c: I'm sure that it's naturally better in-game, but still!

Ohhh I see how Symphonia was the prequel, there's Tabatha n Martel's merged souls guarding the tree... And it seems that Dhaos was a bad guy just to protect Mana from the stupid Mana Cannon :/

@EXHellfire Game-wise, the Mana Cannon was made specifically BECAUSE Dhaos went around and sought to destroy the existence of magitech, which was just ultimately ironic.

...I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of Mana Cannon was BEFORE Dhaos was around in the OVA....

@DemonMayCare People in this conversation are just being haters to the amazing games that Tales of has gifted us with. Ignore them -_- Your right, fans just know a lot of what's SUPPOSED to happen, and when it doesn't we're all like "What? They didn't do this, this and this. Oh and she/he is being not he person they're supposed to be in that scene. It's nice to see they made and OVA for true fans who look past that kind of stuff. Just enjoy WE get to watch it for free is what I'm saying ^-^
