I'm currently working through a transcription of this from his album with the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. He uses that blues scale quite a bit, but the amount of mileage he gets from it, both rhythmically and melodically, is a study unto itself.
Very cool! Gotta check out the new You Tube Video: VICTOR FELDMAN - THE WORLD'S GREATEST VIBRAPHONE PLAYER. and don't miss the new site: VICTOR FELDMAN.COM.
it feels like jazz died a little after every last great artist. Charley Parker, Gene Krupa, Duke Ellington, Cootie William, Frank Sinatra, Max Roach, Bud Powell, Art Tatum, Glenn Miller, Louis Armstrong,. Kenny Clarke, Ella Fitsgerald, Lester Young, Walter Page, Benny Goodman Fletcher Henderson, Dizzy.. etc.
the two kings of the vibes are Milt Jackson and Lionel Hampton

Too bad the piano solo was cut off, I love Cedar's blues playing but maybe you could post the rest of it, assuming you could find it. Thanks!

I would have to agree with manus211. This is such and underrated instrument! I'm also saddened that the world overlooks music like this now.

That's because people today are stupid and they have the mentality that new=good old=bad - they think of jazz as old people music therefore jazz=bad.

@queekers Yeah Jazz is for people who can think.

@Robkat3751
Jazz is for people, who like jazz.....
I like Jazz, i think over 45 years, (i`m still 58 now) but i like rock-music too!
I think, if you have a good teacher, everyone can learn, to hear jazz.
I wish more people, they`ve a good teacher for all music....
