@Strivenigga Red and Ash are NOT the same characters; Ash is just an anime adaption of Red. The Pokemon he obtains are the Pokemon that you get in Pokemon: R/B/Y in your adventure. Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise are the final evolved forms of the three starter Pokemon in R/B/Y; Snorlax is the Pokemon you (or Red) get after waking it up with a Pokeflute to get to your next destination; Espeon is one of the evolved forms of Eevee. Eevee is the Pokemon you may get in Celadon City.

Typhlosion with thunderpunch, earthquake, flamethrower, and whatever you want for the fourth spot. Beat the whole game with that. Blaziken dbl. Kick, blaze kick, earthquake(dig until u get earthquake), and whatever you want for the fourth move easily beat the game.
they should've kept squirtle and bulbasaur unevolved, made them and pikachu have abnormally high stats and make them super powerful and hard to beat, so it would be more challenging as the "final" battle and more like the show. i would've also made charizard like a level 90 or something.

Ehm. Amp has base 90 Sp.Def, which isn't really that much, versus Blastoise's STAB RAIN DANCE, Base 85 Sp.Atk. I don't think there's any way in hell that thing might've lived, so, I dunno man it seems extremely unlikely. Maybe it got min damage or something.
i also had silver :) when i fought Ash i had Feraligtr in level 91 i think, i had Ho - oh in 70, Lugia in 60 something, Snorlax in 70 something, Scarymory in 77 and Tyranitar in 100 :)
@JuggaloVII At Tin Tower. If you're playing Pokemon: Silver like I am, you need to beat the game once, then head to Pewter City to get a Rainbow Wing from an old man and travel back to Ecruteak City in order to go up to Tin Tower and meet Ho-oh there.

the secret to beating a pokemon like snorlax is to lower his accuracy b/c no matter how much power he/she has doesnt matter if they can't hit you then after that work on lowering either defense or special defense that target him like sand-attack or screech is the best for defense. then just attack til the mammoth faints. but keep 1 or 2 full restore handy or even a revive.
Update on why red does not talk! This is a guess but im guessing Red is your father in gold and hes surprised to see you made it this far and he couldve done better but he was all like "My time is up." and wants you to become the champion. Then when he leaves He knows That you are going to be a epic champion but he doesent reveal that hes your dad PLEASE REPLY!

@pokejh Hmm, I'm not quite sure. All I know is that I got eight badges in the Johto region, beat the Elite Four and the champion, and earned eight badges in the Kanto region. Pretty much Red is the true final boss of this game. If you thought Lance was tough, Red will prove you wrong.
Using legendarys such as those is REALLY lame. Switch your battle style to set, so it doesn't ask you if you want to switch. I dunno in my opinion it makes it funner
@ElAlvaroCj This is 2nd gen, just to let you know. Waterfall wasn't considered a Physical move back in the old days, so Surf was a more powerful move for Feraligatr. (95 > 80)
i still remember this battle theme music! and the satisfaction of that whip-cracking noise when something was supereffective! and watching the enemies health drain and hoping it wasnt about to stop one millimetre from death!
Gotta remember: Snorlax has really high SPECIAL defense, if you used Brick Break (If that existed, if not low kick etc, cause Lowkick hits higher the heavier the foe).
And I'm still thinking Why the HELL Red is standing on the mountain.
I mean, he completed everything, Kanto champion, all badges, all pokémon.
All he does is stand on that mountain for years after that?!

Actually a gastly will do the job.. just put it in curse, turn snorlax to sleep with hypnosis then the dream eater will do the rest.. None of snorlax's attack will harm gastly.. ^^v
@metallicatampamagnet The first one is found when you catch a wild Snorlax blocking the entrance to Diglett Cave (the Pokemon's holding it). The second one is found in the Trash Can in the Celadon City restaurant. Don't ask me how a leftover food sitting days in the trash can is still edible, though. =P

It never misses. so only thing that can kill you is a strong physical attack. But with max double team? No siree.

@ElAlvaroCj This is 2nd gen, just to let you know. Waterfall wasn't considered a Physical move back in the old days, so Surf was a more powerful move for Feraligatr. (95 > 80)

Gotta remember: Snorlax has really high SPECIAL defense, if you used Brick Break (If that existed, if not low kick etc, cause Lowkick hits higher the heavier the foe).
And I'm still thinking Why the HELL Red is standing on the mountain.
I mean, he completed everything, Kanto champion, all badges, all pokémon.
All he does is stand on that mountain for years after that?!

Actually a gastly will do the job.. just put it in curse, turn snorlax to sleep with hypnosis then the dream eater will do the rest.. None of snorlax's attack will harm gastly.. ^^v

@metallicatampamagnet The first one is found when you catch a wild Snorlax blocking the entrance to Diglett Cave (the Pokemon's holding it). The second one is found in the Trash Can in the Celadon City restaurant. Don't ask me how a leftover food sitting days in the trash can is still edible, though. =P

@tehpokemonnoob Well actually Red is from the pokemon manga and had captured those pokemon and charizard and blastoise were just given to him by Blue and Green for temporary he had caught pikachu at pewter city and if it was ash why would he have an espeon? Red from the manga has an espeon

And randomyoshi is right about strategy. i used a single strategy much like his and, with a level 1 ralts, i took down a level 100 arceus that my friend cheated for with an action replay . But it is sometimes important to have type adversity. Like my hg team: Umbreon, Scizor, Ariados, Flygon, Metagross, and Cloyster. Diversity. -MASTERofHALO1221

Only unskilled players use hax moves like flash. If you had any brains, you would've used a fighting type like machamp against snorlax. Easy OHKO.

@borgoat21 Does it matter? All it matters is that I've won the fight, no matter how I did it. Besides, it's the first time I was battling Red, and I wasn't fully prepared for the fight, so don't criticize me just because my team sucks.

@borgoat21 lol sucks to be you. that's exactly what an "attack, attack, attack" type of trainer would say. lol. try this four moves in a psychic type. Double Team, Calm Mind, Psychic, Magical Leaf. Is Double team and calm mind useless? fuck no. Use double team until maxed evasion. Use Calm Mind to max Sp Atk and Sp Def. Use Psychic. Dead-o. In case of low acuraccy? Use Magical Leaf. It never misses. so only thing that can kill you is a strong physical attack. But with max double team? No siree.
