Gypsies originated from india and their original language was sanskrit, they brought with them on their travels- belly dance and fortune telling- which spread around the world as they settled in countries they stayed in for a time. my great grandfather was Romany.

You're obviously should know then that gypsies are originally from regiosns such as India, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Azerbeijan. They moved towards countries such as Turkey, Bulgaria, Romenia, Morocco, Portugal and Spain, creating among themselves subcultures. For instance, gypsy music in Spain is clearly different from gypsy music in the Balkans. Gypsie have had interesting cultural interactions with hebrews, arabs, berbers, turks and slavs from Eastern Europe.
