There are all sorts of rumours at the moment about a Monsters Inc. 2 in 2013. But I think that this and Mike's New Car are evidence that the strongest continuation would be a spin-off series of comedy shorts, like the Cars Toons.

well i think they already made the plot. This is wat i heard.....Boo grows up and has 1 daughter. one night, sully decides to visit her, and then he sees that boo has already grown up and has her own family and was sad because she forgot about her times with the monsters, so sully runs away from the company. Boo comes out and recognizes the place, but don't know where she seen it. That's what i heard

They planned to make sequel but they dropped it. It was supposed to be about them meeting boo as a teen, they dropped it cos they said the first movie's ending was too heartfelt and they didn't wan't to ruin it.

Aw...too bad. Anyway, if Boo was a teen, it will be weird. I cried at that part of (SPOILERS) letting Boo go...and meeting her at the end. Who knew that these kind of funny and made-for-kids movie can be touching for adults too?

@moviesrdbest That's exactly the point. These aren't made-for-kids movies. They are family films meant for ALL ages, adults included. Sadly, people tend to lump all animated movies into the category 'Kid's Movies'. Sure, there are some that are made specifically for kids, but it is not always the case. Especially for Pixar filsms.
