Oddly enough, that is a characteristic that I enjoy in games too, particularly in first-person games. Too many just put emphasis on the upper body and you just assume the rest of the body is there (which it usually is, but still).
I think it does a lot to give a sense of your character and his/her/its presence in the game world and really makes it concrete that you are controlling an entity and not a flying window with guns. When I think about it, it really is odd to look 90 degrees down and see nothing.
I love games where you can see your feet. Totally bummed me out when they took feet out of Left 4 Dead 2.

I definitely remember this game. Jumping Flash! was on the inaugural PS1 Demo Disc when the system launched.
