I love my summit but the only problem I had to buy new wheels and Tyres because the water collapsed the foam inserts but it was my fault I forgot to cut drainage holes in the tyres

it depends on the battery, how much you use full throttle, etc. you can get 2 - 4 cell batteries, 4 cell being the best but most epensive ($200)

i have an HPI Savage Flux Xs with a 4000 mah "Speedpack" and i get between 20 - 25 mins depending if i am on the road or in the forest. i paid 40 for my battery.

The Summit it's really a great monster. It can do everithing, climb, trial, race, speed.

You have to modified as you like a little bit, to do what do you want every time in only one big monster.

I've been running a Summit for about a year now and I've had zero problems. It's really a versatile truck. Running it in the snow was fun. As it comes from the factory, top speed in high gear is quick, but not blistering fast. But I didn't really buy it for speed anyway. Overall it's a great truck.

What does locking your diffs exactly do? Just makes the awd work non stop?

@demonsparkx makes both wheels turn at the same rate on the axle instead of 1 spinning freely while the other grips. Great for crawling when you don't want any slip but not so good for racing or bashing, That is why you can lock and unlock.

as a truck for everything the summit is the way to go. it can be driven fast[well faster then scx10] and it outcrawels the scx10 on the rocks.

i will by this truck as a second rig to do some jumps and bashing.

I got mine not long ago (almost 2 weeks) and I ran it in some water, no I didnt submerge it lol....but I did notice the reverse was hesitating afterward...I ran it for awhile in the dry and then reverse seemed to work ok til I got it wet again....Any input? Thanks

Just got mine. No major issues yet. Had a small issue with left rear whell coming loose put a dab of locktite on it and poof no issue. and some of the other hardware was loose but tighted it up and done. it is a fun truck. was about $565

I have the Summit and was wondering how do I make the suspension higher and more stiff. I have had it for a year or so and it is sagging on front and rear. When you drop it from about 2 feet high, it will bottom out. Oh , by the way, I just installed new shocks thinking that was the problem, when indeed, it was not. Any help would be very appreciated.

@Uttelito today i drove for the first time my summit and it was awsome. the 25:1 top speed is very good in my opinion.you dont need something faster than titan 775 believe me.the top speed was like the one in the video with the stock traxxas batteries.

@XXXTITEXXX ive had a summit for a cupple of weeks now, and yes its awsome, it cant quite get around everywhere like some ppl say but its still awsome for climbing and stuff, the problem is that its top heavy and tend to fall on its roof when in a steep hill. also the gear servo in myn is busted :(

i don't know a whole lot about that but with the solid axles and no sway bars it looks like it would twist under heavy acceleration but with a suspension system like a summit or most rc cars it's not possible could you please tell me what you've experienced with your wheely king?

@Joelepp13: The Wheely king DOES come with a very effective sway bar. Also, torque twist IS possible for any vehicle using shaft drive, it is just less noticeable with independent suspension vehicles.

@F0M0C0 when the diff box is solidly attached to the same frame as the motor it wont twist the truck unless it bends the frame instead it transfers all of the energy to the wheels and then makes the torque twist pick the front tires up instead of the side

@ss3man1: ...and Traxxas isn't? At least HPI makes new vehicles. They have made made 8 versions of the t-maxx. The bandit, rustler, stampede and slash all use the same front and rear ends. The Summit is just a modified e-revo.
