i believe the guys that wrote the music for the original NES games were emerson,lake and palmer fans? some of ELP's riffs ended up in the games(the begining on this post:02-:23). same style too.

listen to karn evil 9. from .02-.23 is exactly the same on karn evil 9 3rd imp 3.56-4.27. in the original dr. mario there is a quick bit of KE9 2nd imp 2.22-2.25 too. there maybe more, i have not heard all original NES music

@LordBicen i lol'ed at the "Download the map and walkthrough". THE ORIGNIAL METROID MAP WAS TOOOOOO BIG ! And thats what i like in good old nes games, we can NEVER beat it in a first shot !

@raghunfourpif well i beat the game back in the day when it was new without maps OR NINTENDO Power. Once you play through it enough times, you memorize the level fairly easily though sometimes you get sidetracked cause some of the levels look alike especially in Kraid's Lair. Norfair was similar in that aspect, but Lower Norfair was pretty straight forward though.
