I think what you call his "don knott's" style personality is a southern thing (you can hear his slight southern accent) as people from down south and/or rural areas small towns come from families that raised them with more traditional values than elsewhere in USA, so they seem to be more down home and easy going and have more of that nice smalltown 'Mayberry' neighbor type vibe.
Prog, that's patently untrue, actually. I don't mean to sound mean or argumentative, 'cause I'm not trying to be, but I grew up in the south and I can tell you that the vast preponderance of those people were just as egocentric and endowed with a sense of entitlement as people from anywhere else.
That said, Peter does seem like a cool guy and I wish I could meet him.
I meant in a very general way, of course. I'm from northern city and whenever I call guys from music stores or music gear manufacturers in the south, many have a noticeably more downhome and easy going manner than from elsewhere in USA. I think maybe because you are from the south you may not be able to appreciate that sort of thing as it's normal to you, as I may not be able to appreciate certain things about the north because they are 'normal' to me and dont stand out as different or whatever.
@progjazzfusion "Don Knots?" , "small Towns?" , "rural areas?" WTF?? You ever been down here to know what the fuck yer talking about? I doubt it. Stroud is from Atlanta -that aint no "small/rural town". "DON FUCKING KNOTTS!!!?" What thye fuck?! So if yer from up north, does that mean you look like Capt. Lou Albano??
@hazor777 - well someone else brought up the don knotts nice personality thing so i put my opinion in, but yeah I'm from up north (midwest) and have travelled all over down south georiga tenn, etc on long road trip and have to say the people were much more laid back and friendly than up here. slower pace of life they say, i liked that. not to categorize or stereotype, but some of that that must rub off on people around there even if they come from bigger cities like atlanta, +peter seems nice.
@hazor777 This whole don knotts thing is completely retarded, people need to put people into categories in order to relate to their own shit,Peter is truly one of the worlds nicest and i mean NICEST ,amazing energized, talented people ive ever met, hes in his own category no matter where he comes from. Momo
Wow, I just met Peter this morning, great guy, very talent and humble with an edge, right! Thanks for sharing MOMO, I love the way you did this interview and I plan on watching more of your videos.
we wont know the reprocussions or this garbage the music industry . their brainwashed nonsense of chopped up slop.
Watch Making the Band and you actually see how fake the shit is. Especially the girls, who have issues of trying their own material, and Diddy was giving them some corny electro hip PoP flop. Obviously there weren't even real artists to begin with cuz they had to "find' themselves in the middle of a TV Show
i have just really found the inter-net as i was going out too much, had girlfriend, took drugs and stuff. did not really use it at uni much. was much more into making old dynamics into new (used to get lots of crap from rubbish tips to make my "art"). love the story about how he met people on the net and made the amp business. as always Momo, inspiring!
Is he drunk?

Ask Sheryl about Marilyn Manson. She will react to his name with shame and guilty conscience. Because she is deceiving her fans.

Does Peter Stroud remind anyone else of Don Knotts? The voice and the sort of unassuming personality?

The 65 Amp Soho rocks!! Can't wait to get one. Pete's technique reminds me a lot of Mike Campbell. Both amazing artists. Thanks for sharing.
