  • I flew one of those today !

  • Very cool great landing!!!!

  • nice! a very endearing little aircraft, the 140, I recently became the owner of one myself, its been a delight to own and fly :D

  • i learned to fly in one of those 140,1968,ha!

  • Very well done!

  • Specticle yoke and roof trimmer, must be an old 140, mid to late 60's build I am guessing.

  • @timber733 You would be right, 1967.

  • @brando617 really nice, used to fly a 60's vintage 140 some years back, handled beautifully, better it seemed than some of later models I have flown for some reason. Preferred the roof trimmer also. Thanks for posting.

  • Nice landing. Thanks for posting!

  • Nice landing. I love the 140

  • Nice vid! Where are you based out of? Havent been to MMU in a while.

  • Very cool!

How are you getting ATC recordings in your video!

  • Duskydrive, he's probably using the cabin speaker. I know my old 172 has a mic and external speaker. There was a time when many pilots didn't use headsets.

  • @Duskydriver there is a speaker in the plane you don't need head phones to here radio

  • Ahhh....the 140, love it! nto old enought for my licence but ive flown it before and it is truly a great plane, i also lobe the 16o....dont ya love those yokes?

  • Nice landing. Loved the fist bump!

  • nice job

  • it was a great video until I saw the sox hat

  • ummm... in most small plans you can't hear tires... its the jets that land fast enough to hear tires.

  • wrong, you can hear the tires speak when you touch douwn in most small planes

  • okay, my bad. I just never remembered hearing them when I've been up in a small plane.

  • its ok, if you do happen to get a landing were you dont even hear a squeak, its a big accomplish ment

  • That's what we call a greaser... I used to do those in my Musketeer almost every time unless there was alot of wind. The 140 squeals every time....

  • bravo bravo! I couldnt even hear the tires

  • Truely the best flying entry-level aircraft.

  • I miss my 140, love that little airplane.

Ditto on the mechanical flaps, they are great

  • the cherokee 140 also has the trim wheel in the well between the seats, my flying school has 4 cherokee 140s two have roof trims and two have trims between the seats.

  • Nice Job!

  • funny to find a video where I have often flown the same approach to 23 @ mmu in my 140b. I am now flying out of ksmq if you are from the area.

  • Nice landing. I hate the position of the trim wheel... I guess that's one thing Cessna did right in their planes.

  • I would take the Cherokee trim over the Cessna any day! While we are going there, mechanical flaps are better in my opinion too.

  • yeh, how can you not love the meat grinder on the ceiling!?1

  • i agree with juxta, the cessna trim wheel seems more "natural" to use.

  • What? No thrust reverse?! :P

  • almost exciting!!

  • Almost! :)
