thats not true at all diving is based on 3 things 3 points for hight 3 points for entry and 3 points for airflight with one point of judge discrepency and the judges use this as a guideline when scoring

I feel like this was way better than laura's as far as finishing higher and the entry, yet they both received 10's, her actually receiving one more than him. Kinda shows the discrepancies between what is considered a 10 in men's diving vs women's diving.

@pinky0090 discrepancies? Diving isn't like gymnastics where it's based on perfection. The judges dont imagine the perfect dive and think about how that one was different. The score is based on how impressive the dive is and it's easier for women to be more impressive since they're more graceful and you dont expect them to jump as high. Men have to work a lot harder to be impressive

@pinky0090 Dives don't have to be perfect to receive 10s they can be excellent. Plus Laura had a nice entry and a more prominent Pop on entry their wasn't really splash just bubbles which u cant really deduct for. Just saying its going to be hard for a women to finish that high even the Chinese women don't compare to the men.
