  • Definitely a great actor!!! Too bad they didn't have enough scripts to keep him busy - and had to take whatever parts available no matter what the picture type was.

  • un bellissimooooooo attoreeeee e soprattutto una persona con un gran cuore !!!

  • He was a no talant

  • @slowdream101 What?

  • @slowdream101

I love when movie critics like yourself come on the Internet to blast others, as though your life actually had meaning. Have you ever seen Yul Bryner in "The King and I"? His performance is the only one that anyone actually remembers. However, in your case the only thing anyone will remember is just how stupid a You Tube troll can be. Amazing.

  • He kissed their hands! What a gentleman!

  • Yes, indeed, the man was soooo gorgeous! I'll adore him always.

  • she must of thought it was harpo marx when she asked if he had blonde curly hair. Makes sense because harpo marx only makes sounds and no voice

  • QUÉ HOMBRE TAN ESPLENDIDO, GUAPÍSIMO, VARONIL, ELEGANTE, GALLARDO, SOFISTICADO Y CON ESA VOZ TAN MASCULINA Y PROFUNDA QUE ME HACE TEMBLAR, SU MANERA DE MIRAR, HABLAR, GESTICULAR, SILBAR, CAMINAR, DE DIRIGIRSE A LAS PERSONAS, DE ESTRECHAR LAS MANOS DE LOS CABALLEROS Y DE TOMAR LAS MANOS DE LAS DAMAS Y DARLES UN BESO, HASTA LA MANERA DE ESCRIBIR SU NOMBRE EN EL TABLERO... QUÉ GALANAZO! ES TAN COOL EN LA PANTALLA COMO FUERA DE ELLA...

  • Later in life, Yul gave the best advice...... DON'T SMOKE !

  • Just the way he walk and shook the panelists hand just oozes confident and class....none of the movie star nowadays comes close to Yul Brynner...

  • @keysersoze78 I AGREE WITH YOU

  • Do you have blond curly hair? OH GOD!

  • Who but Yul Brenner could star as a bald cowboy in the western, the Magnificient Seven, and pull it off.

  • When did this air? Any idea?

  • Have a smoke, Yul....

  • @DKvsLow "Thank you for a memorable afternoon, usually one must go to a bowling alley to meet a woman of your stature."

  • @DKvsLow "Who is John Galt?"

  • YESYESYES what a man

  • This is the best "Mystery Guest" segment that ever happened.

  • Do you have blond curly hair? Priceless. Granted, Holloywood was as screwed-up then as now but there were some GREAT people, in heart and character. Yul Brenner was one of them. Cagney, Jimmy Stewart and so on. I watched the one with Audie Murphy.... He was so small, so humble, and yet so great.

  • didnt he play a guitar and sing in Anastastia?

  • @auntbecky Yes, and they mention that if you listen again :)

  • Arlene's question about blond, curly hair may have been the single funniest line in the history of What's My Line. (Paul Anka asking Liberace if he was a girl would be close.)

  • omg Yul Brynner is so hot.. first watch him on "The King and I" when i was like 12 his presence is really immense everything about him is so sexy *_*

  • What a gentleman and a great great actor.!

  • C_L_A_S_S_Y

  • @merriny Heavy smoker.

  • Yul made being bald fashionable, even way back then...I've never seen a guest whistle their answers before...I guess John knows what the whistles mean because he knows the answers to the question...John pretty much did the talking for Yul...I wonder why he couldn't have just made up his voice...Yul was extremely cool...He sort of reminds me of a bald James Dean.

  • The actors are way too easy for mystery guests

  • Blonde curly hair...I think she was mistaking him for Harpo Marx!

  • Actually, Yul DID play the guitar & sang. Singing folk songs in small venues was how he got his start in show biz in NYC before becoming a TV director & then later a VERY successful stage & screen actor. This was a great JOY to watch today for the first time....Yul was one of the screen's most charismatic performers. A multi-talented performer who left us much too soon! THANKS for posting this VERY enjoyable clip!!! CHEERS!!! :-)

  • "Do you have blonde, curly hair?" LMAO!! I'm the only one awake in my house at the moment, and had I been alone or seeing this at a more reasonable hour of the day, a roar of infectious laughter would be heard throughout the house XD

  • i so miss men w class who do that if its sincere as marilyn sang quite continental

  • it would have been near impossible to disguise that voice. i think the "curly blonde hair" kinda gave it away.

  • OMG 2:48 I JUST LOL !!

  • stunning

  • Blond curly hair? I think not. xD

  • I believe he was born in Russia.

  • Where was he from? I can't remember. He was so handsome. Not too many men look good bald but he does!

  • Wow -- platinum-weight talent, sex appeal, and sophistication all in one person. In this period (1956) he starred -- starred mind you -- in 3, not one, not two, but THREE huge hit films: Anastasia, The King and I (where he sang, danced, and ruled Siam), and The Ten Commandments, (where he ruled Egypt). You can hardly take your eyes off him in "The Ten Commandments," as here. Thanx to NorberR33 for posting this clip and reminding us what star power used to mean.

  • @soulierinvestments

He didn't star in Ten Commandments, Heston was the star. The Magnificent Seven would have been a more apt choice. And he wasn't really that talented. On screen, he was kind of a mincing poser who seemed more concerned with projecting an image than giving complex performances, sort of like Heston. Not that he was a bad actor, but he certainly wasn't really any kind of a great talent.

  • ai q lindo!!!!!!

    bjando a mão das mulheres....

  • Pure class!!!

  • If Yul Brynner had kissed my hand I would have fainted ^_^

  • Yul is the man! Strikingly handsome, and immensly talented!

And what a voice he had!

  • He is like James Dean with out hair!! great actor very cool person!! i shave my head too! wish i did it way early like a year befor!!

  • Gone are the great actors! And so has hollywood.

  • Oh gosh! what can I say!!!!

    I LOVE YUL!

I wish I was at that game show!

    sooooo bad!

  • LOVE this video!

  • Doubtlessly the most famous bald man ever, Patrick Steward and Mussolini comes close but none of them makes bald actually look hot.

  • What a gorgeous presence *****

  • No surprise that this polished gentleman kissed both ladies' hands.

  • lol... you can see the shine off his head distorting the brightness around it.

  • it is a scenery like all american idiot-tube programmes.

    sputnik days.

  • he's just so incredibly sexy. it's unbelievable, really. I've found him insanely attractive ever since I was a little girl.

  • @elvisobsessor me too. the king and i was where i first saw him.

    mm mm mmmmmmm.

  • He was totally handsome. Bald or not!

  • Here's my remembrance of Yul. I saw The King & I back in May '85. I waited to see him come out. He came ouy with 4 bodyguards and a great dane. Boy, all that trouble he went thru. By the way, I still have my autographed pic of him. It looks like he signed his name backwards. luy

  • I don't like men bald at all. But this man is a handsome exception :]

  • That just proves that you don't need hair to be totally hot. Some just are, with or without. ^_^V

  • 4 people must be blind...and deaf, too.

  • Johnny Depp should play him if ever there was a film about him

  • @VelvetKate Johnny Depp is nowhere near as good looking as Yul Brynner though.

  • @theplacidfish Not by a long-shot but I could see him doing justice to such a fine individual

  • HmmmmmmMMMM!!!!!!! One of my best favourites - will always love the King and I

  • YESTERDAY IS HERE.

  • we got the one Derise and the one Junior, Yul Brynner, and the man Sanka. The fastest of the fastest of jamaican sprinters, respect to the man Herb Blitzer

  • He was quite a gentleman.

  • His anti smoking commercial was so impressionable I think of it every time I see his face.

  • What an exotic, sexy man. Incredible, one of kind.

  • @cutevwbug

I agree. He was gorgeous. The women on the panel can't take their eyes off him!

  • Mmm, his voice.

  • "DO YOU HAVE BLONDE CURLY HAIR?"...that killed the audience cuz hair is not one of Yul's characteristics he's always bald..that was funny!!!!

  • The blond curly hair ..was she thinking of Harpo Marx?..

  • sexy and hot. what a great guy!

  • @weightfeather1 Peter Lind Hayes, he is in Wikipedia...actor of the 50s on TV

  • i roared at the "blond curly hair" inquiry!! wonderful!!! lolol

  • heart-stoppingly handsome

  • he was sooooooo HOT! (I really and truely just LOLed in a houseful of sleeping people when she asked if he had blond curly hair.) and the way every one on the show stars cracking up and shes sitting there like "what'd I say?". I love his voice

  • Just about the BEST looking bald guy ever.

  • @chickforchrist1 He's mine you can no has! jk we can share ^.^

  • @chickforchrist1

LOL, I don't even think there's a "just about." He IS the best looking bald guy ever. No other guy comes close in comparison.

  • @louswire - I've thought for a long time that Westworld is long overdue for a remake. Great movie that could be even better these days!

  • I do think he looks a bit like Johnny Depp...

I look forward to the biopic.

  • one of the coolest and most charismatic guys in movie history! without a doubt.

  • man he's handsome! ... killer smile and voice and sexy as all get out! such a gentleman as he kisses the ladies hands while exiting the stage

  • How can you not love Yul Brynner!

  • Squeels from the Audience give the show away...

  • I (L) The King and I!

  • from a time when class was the rule rather than the exception (as is today)

  • Man, he's clever!

  • One FINE man.

  • I would've asked sumthin like 'r u asian' or 'are you bald' or even 'r u a man' lol XD

  • What a man. I love the hand-kissing at the end.

  • I can't get enough of the "blond curly hair" question. A classic.

  • hark at the comb-over on Daly!

  • @thesmokerbabe Daly didn't wear a "comb-over". As you can see he combed it straight BACK. He just parted it far to one side as was customary at the time.

  • Comment removed

  • OMG, did you guys hear the way some girls in the audience screamed when Yul came in to sign his name on the chalkboard? LOL! I definitely would've been one of them.

    God Bless You Mr. Brynner!

  • One of the greats,,, mag 7, ten commandments, is sorely missed

Dont make authentic great actors like him anymore

  • Beats anything that is out there today. charisma and sexiness, no one in the new generaton comes close

  • etcsexy etcsexy ectsexy.

  • @stitchgrl777 you know, it took me a couple of seconds to realize what you meant. Once I did, I couldn't stop laughing. He truly is ectsexy.

  • I never heard scrams from the audience like hear. They love you Yul, and we still love you after all these years. Such a great talent

  • I'm sure Arlene thought it was Harpo Marx because of the whistling. Harpo would either toot his little horn or whistle when responding to a question.

  • Facepalm!

  • I've watched this many times and just love the 'blond curly hair" question, the response, and how the next panelist figured out who it was because of that.

  • Died from smoking

  • I had a chance to see him in person in the revival of The King And I in Porland in the mid-1980's. One of the biggest regrets I ever made by choosing not to go. RATS!

  • I think that Arlene knew exactly who he was when she asked the question,"Do you have blonde, curly hair?" She knew that she had a golden opportunity for a big laugh. She was a very clever, witty woman.

  • Aah... The man who made it hot to be bald.

  • Do u have blonde curly hair

  • Yul is amazing..and good looking. The Ten Commandments,Greatest movie of all time!!!!

  • he was a wonderfully evil 'bad guy' in 'Westworld'

  • Arlene...LOL!!!

  • I saw Magnificent Seven a few weeks ago and it reminded me how great an actor Brynner was.

  • what a guy !!! difficult to find someone as charismatic as him now

  • @mitramithun

you're damn right! He' so cool....But then again very soft and...ah...that voice...

  • Man, even his signature was sexy!

  • I may dare to say... suggestively picturesque.

There's something between the 'y' and the first 'n' that makes it like... a... mmmmmm!! you know what.

  • Double wow! One of the sexiest man on earth. He was absolutely gorgeous and dynamially charismatic.

  • I saw "The King and I" a few years ago. I have never been able to look at today's actors the same way since. They have NO CLUE what its all about.

  • I love him!! He is the definition of sexy

  • Oh my gosh, the blonde hair question was PERFECT.

  • A big actor

  • Incredable actor! A great model for what smoking does to your lungs.

  • If Yul Brynner had kissed my hand, I would have fell out in the floor. Most gorgeous man who ever lived.

  • He made bald hot even before Patrick Stewart!

  • @pepsibookcat LOL So true. Patrick is hot, but Yul is one of the sexiest men who ever lived.

  • The most sexy bald man of the movies!

The next man can be Billy Zane!

  • LOL agreed he was hot!

  • I don't think Yul was actually bald....I think he just had a high forehead. I hear that when he'd go shopping & browse thru the produce aisle, people would squeeze his head to see if it was ripe. When he washed his face in the morning, how did he know when to stop? All seriousness aside, he truly was a charismatic individual. THANKS for sharing this clip!

  • so charassmatic!!

  • How do they know it's a man?

  • Hayes says to Bennett 'it's a man's whistle'.

Perhaps on the stage it sounded deeper than it comes accross here and it was more obvious? I was thinking the same thing!

  • Marlene Dietrich tapped that....again and again and again HAHAH

  • J'adore Yul Brynner.

  • take me yul....take me now! :]

  • A wonderful gentlemen!!

  • Arlene's "do u have blond curly hair" probably the funniest question ever... a true Classic moment and the way Brynner reacted was even more classic that was incredibly funny and Brynner was terrific.

  • Daly: "...And no one has taken as much pleasure from your success as I have." If only television hosts nowadays demonstrated such grace! You often get the impression they're not that fond of their guests, that they'd be in the limelight themselves. Daly' is as charming in his genuines praise as is Yul Brynner as his guest. Thanks for another wonderful episode, NorbertR33.

  • that man is SEXY

  • Blond curly hair ?

  • he reminds me of mark dacascos of iron chef and the crow fame, idk

  • was Yul a hungarian calvinist? he was great.

  • 2:47 -- Arlene such a smart alec LOL

  • Thanks so much for sharing this! I have posted it on my Yul Brynner Tumblr page at yul . tumblr . com

  • blond curly hair lol

  • Too bad today's skinheads don't have Mr. Brenner's sophistication. A great man and a great guy.

  • YUL BRYNNER described in one word "GORGEOUS"..XX

  • I thot he stole the movie from Heston in "Commandments" . Too bad he smoked himself to death.

  • 2:48 has me dying every time!

  • what a presence!

  • What a gorgeous man he was!!! We thank him for all the wonderful performances he has given us! There will never be another Yul Brynner!

  • Ever the charmer, he kissed the ladies' hands as he left. : )

  • He's gorgeous. There's something about Johnny Depp that reminds me of Yul Brynner.

  • @grainofsandfan That's so interesting, because I was going to say there's something very James Dean-ish in Yul's face

  • He was every inch a STAR, even toward the last; I saw him in his last tour as THE KING, and even then ,it was impossible to take your eyes off him when he was onstage..A Sweetheart, and GORGEOUS , both inside and out!God Bless Him~~

  • GROW UP Matt, in your replies..(You show your age, answering that way..)

  • 2:55 Facepalm!

  • One of my favourite clips from this show! The other being Buster Keaton.

  • love it

  • He's adorable!

  • Oh is he dreammmmmyyyyyy....

  • "Do you have blonde, curly hair?"

    What an awe-inspiring man.

  • So handsome

  • The last I saw of Yul Brenner was when he was dying of cancer and he did the commercials where he said "Don't smoke". He was always such a formidable man and a gentleman.

  • wow,what a gentleman
