For those of you saying these seats suck well, it's a 757. Not a lot of room for first class seat like on an a380. And I accually had flown first class on a delta 757 and it is very good
I think this is a good business class but not first. first has a reputation of being in a cacoon and have some privacy for a while. I think I could stay for 6 a 7 hours in this plane. but if I must fly from jfk to moscow with that thing I would rather rent a private jet :D
I agree. This doesn't even compare to Coach class on some Asian airlines (and I'm not joking in any way). The premium cabins on some Asian airlines are astounding.
Have you seen the First and Business Classes in Singapore Airlines' new A380? That can't be beaten.
@m1r3o best way to get upgraded: 1. Join thier milage program (it's free anyway so why not?) 2. Dress as if you are on a business trip and not on vacation 3. Be polite at check in and check in with a person (computers will never give you an upgrade unless you pay) 4. Don't ask them for an upgrade everyone else does and it's annoying if everyone asks

I am surprising my wife for her birthday and purchased "business elite seats ( I think it's called "first class" when the flight is domestic) for our trip to Jamaica from JFK. with our 12 year old son.
What kind of meals are served in business class with a 4 hour flight? I never traveled "up front" before so I was wondering.
@funshipM174 You should expect a full hot meal on a four hour flight. They should have a choice of two hot entrees, and they're usually both pretty good.
I hope y'all have a great trip! Enjoy it up front!
@brewdog11 you can not seriously compare them this is a domestic first class for short haul flights, deltas long haul business elite is much better but you dont need those seats for short journeys. any way food entertainment and service and lounges are more important than the seat especially for short haul.
@brewdog11 Singapore is more of a premium airline, and you won't see an A380 flying a 1 and a half hour hop. To be honest i feel you are comparing apples and oranges.
@tomellis6680 you can not compare this to them this is domestic first class for short flights only. Deltas long haul is much better than this compare like to like, anyway food, wine, lounges and service are far more important especially on short flights
@tomellis6680 I saw your reply and should have listened to you. I just flew "first" class on Delta. Old hard seats that reclined 2 inches, cheap thin blanket, non-working earphones that probably cost fifty cents, no legroom. Finally, cereal or an omelette for breakfast. Then they have the nerve to ask how they did. I let them know and haven't heard back.
I just got back literally at eight this morning from Detroit metro from hawaii!!!! wish i could go back!!!!! i was in the middle of the 747 then i heard a flight attendant yelling 1 pasenger 1 passenger!!! so i raised my hand and she told me to gather my items and come to firstclass!!!!! then i asked her why and she said therre was a family of three that needed those seats so it was all good!!!! ugg i miss honululu sooo much and especially when i was flying over the ocean it was beautiful
the person who film this u rush on the plane 2 make a 30 second vdieo u should have start tappin as soon as u were walking thru the brezzway and when u got to yo seat explore the whole air plane back 2 front since u were the first on there and put your stuff down
why would they fly 757 over the ocean..thats not confortable 2 do 2 the passagers and whats the difference between a 767 and a 767 regional...for hawainii they should have used a 777
anyone know the name of that boarding music sounds like kelly clarkson but i think u must be thinking the leg room in first class or bussiness class not ecomony which is what i use alot
But about 33 or 34 inches of pitch in economy, which is DEFINITELY an upgrade as to what UA, US, and AA give you on a 757 across the pond. The extra inches count [That's what she said].
whats transcontinetal mean what airport is that where are you heading to what time of the day was it and why is first class so emply where u like the first one on board
Transcontinental means "across the continent." For example, a transcontinental flight flies from New York to Los Angeles.
I was the first person on the plane. I rushed on before everyone else on purpose so I could get a good video. The First Class cabin ended up being completely full. The flight flew from New Orleans to Atlanta.
for the folks tahts talking mess about this first class cabin its because it is a domestic first class and not a international that makes a difference and delta is great they are better than american anydat but united is really good too...i dont do american at all...delta though mess up left me and over 100 passagers stuck at lambert Int in STL and werent any help getting us home but american step up to the plate and handle it very nicely i wana say thank u American Airlines BOO delta for now
Actually, United's first class really sucks as of late, lol. Domestic travel has been ultra cheaped out to the point where they're charging for checked bags even though you just dropped $1,300 for first class, AND they offer pre packaged meals that come in a box and are color coordinated. To top it off, they ran out of alcohol!
For me, Continental's updated first class is actually worth the money. No checked bag fees, better food, and plenty of booze to enjoy :)
whats the name of that song playin in the cabin and so u highly recommend contient for first as well ass bussiness and ecom to a friend or family member ...they dont fly out to the places i go or want to go though
Well most domestic flights are jokes in first class though. Compared to most international flights or even european carriers' domestic flights are a world above US airliner's accommodations in first. The main reason I suggest Continental is because most of their flights in the US use newer airplanes and updated cabins. Internationally they suck big time though.
If you're going to go first class international, I'd suggest SIA, Luftansa, and maybe Air France (depending on the plane)
I think comparing domestic to domestic is certainly a far better comparison to domestic v. international foreign carrier.
Generally though, I kinda agree, but also disagree. American's domestic First Class for example is improving a lot / has improved a lot over the last few months.
i gotta laugh at WeavingWhisper,,,you made me laugh so hard hahaha when u said the delta JFK terminal last time i went there was bird crap and birds flying every where and even a squirrel..haha i can imgine having a indoor forest at the airport with signs posted DO NOT FEED ANIMIALS haha jajajajaja with trees and waterfall with rivers haha
i dont like 757s they have to much power,,they thin but long and narrow but too powerful they were crazy for building them like that they need to which out the enginees so they wont be so powerful
But, the 757's international first class on Delta is the best. Since it's a small aircraft the service is much more personal. If there are more seats, its' less personal.
Delta don't have an international first class (neither do Virgin for that matter, they're both business class). You're right though, most of the American based airlines are really shoddy compared to what you get from the main Asian or European airlines
Delta's not that bad. The new cabin (the one in the video) is pretty nice. Service is a hit-or-miss experience. You're right about the cabin not competing with Virgin's, though.
I agree. I can't believe they flew a 767 regional on a flight to Hawaii... I also don't understand why they're flying 757's across the Atlantic to European routes.
They NYC hub is from what I hear nasty. I worked at CVG until about a month ago and it still looks like new. They have really kept it up. Its sad that C is closing and that A is no longer mainline. I think that delta just does not care about CVG and I hate to that that but its so true. They just don't want us. We are the read headed step child. But NYC has got to go! LIKE NOW! and MEM can go. BUT CVG MUST STAY!!!
I don't understand why Delta is doing away with CVG. It's very clean and modern (unlike JFK)and is strategically located in the middle of the country, so it is convenient for domestic flights and trans-Atlantic flights.
I think that we as passangers have should have more voice in this matter. I think that JFK or NYC in general are congested and serve no point. CVG should remain a hub but will Delta listen to us....UMMM NO! They should!
NYC is a great hub for international and domestic flights maybe we should take a break from them and totally remodel Delta JFK Terminals, like knock down and rebuild with the latest stuff, oh and last time i went there was bird crap and birds flying every where and even a squirrel.
give them some time now with nwa there will be more routes than ever going to Asia and can't wait for Sydney next month, and they'll continue expanding in the pacific area
net jet it to be honest

It is always amusing to hear the comments from 12 and 13 year olds who have never, ever flown or let alone paid for a ticket themselves.
What should be remembered is that "First Class" domestically, in the USA, is in actuality a business class - not a true first.
From someone who has flown Delta's 1st Class on several occasions on the Boeing 757, it is quite comfortable.
