Final Fantasy X Blitzball 8500h+ of hard work

Just got back into this game. Any tips for winning the first blitzball game that you play? (the one you HAVE to play against luca as part of the story)

@amberleecrooks08 try and learn jecht shot on the boat before you get to luca. try and pass the ball between your players to level them up in the 1st half and get the ball to tidus in 2nd half. Worked for me through most of my playthroughs

@stawg007 This I have to agree with. I always say: don't live how everybody else wants to live, live how you want to live. Back in October 2010 I came up with the idea of playing Final Fantasy X, leaving Sin until the end and defeating Penance before Sin. By September 2011 I finally managed to defeat Penance (Before defeating Sin) and I uploaded the video onto youtube. A lot of people would percieve that as a waste but it wasn't a waste to me; I got tremendous enjoyment out of it.

Quite a feat. Good that you have Wakka, but only for the fact he doesn't learn his abilities on his own/doesn't get recruited so you must do it for him like Tidus. I cannot see, but I wonder if you also unlocked and learned all available abilities for the other members of your team. Tech Finds, and whatnot. And like everyone else, I question your choice of teammates.

if you need tips for the first game, I recommend getting the jecht shot on teh boat to luca, and that's how you'll score your first goal, next just play tough defense, keep the ball moving on offense, pass back and forth from guy to guy and keep it out of luca's hands, their goal scorers are wicked good and keepa isn't the greatest by any stretch...score twice with jecht shot and hold possession and you'll win easy : )

@XTheDesertEagle13X u do know u can use jechtshot only once in that match against the luca goers first halve u dont have it yet u need to score with sphereshot (which CAN be used twice) second halve u can put ur "skills" so u can equip jechtshot and u can only use it once cuz it costs A LOT of HP @ that time in the game and btw i didnt use jechtshot i just go Sphereshot and hope on a high number u will score like 4 times i also won 4 - 1 with that tactic just let tidus do sphereshot and BOOM!

first, you have to get all of tidus's key abilities, then you can get jecht shot 2 by winning a tournament or league
