There are two kinds of Star Wars fans. The kind who like the prequels, and the ones who think those three films represent the biggest wasted opportunity in the history of film. Yoda is just one example. The Yoda of this film is not the same as the CGI Kermit the Frog in those other movies (ironic considering this Yoda is a puppet). Lucas fundamentally doesn't respect the necessity of good writing and good acting in any drama, as Harrison Ford pretty much said.
