While Jon Spencer is a fucking badass, I seriously don't believe he's the right musician to properly demonstrate a theremin. Spencer employs the theremin for mostly weird-sounding effects and for the purpose of entertaining a crowd with his silliness, rather than for actual musical effect. I've never heard Jon Spencer play anything resembling music on the theremin.
