I became a Ramones fan in Dec. of 1991, my freshman year of high school (though I had known of the band since 1983 when I was 6). I finally got to hear the studio version of "Carbona..." when the remastered version of "Leave Home" came out in '01. One of their best and most rocking songs left to languish for how many years?! I just got an original '77 promo copy of this album in near mint condition!

In my opinion Joey Ramone is the ultimate rock n roll hero. He grows up not really good looking and not apart of the Jocks or the cool crowd BUUUUT he winds up fronting the Greatest Punk Band ever and the greatest band to come out of New York City. To top it off he winds up in the Rock n Roll hall of fame lol. Joey Ramone fucking rocks. 4 eva
I have found that the drums, bass, guitar, and vocals can help with giving rhythm and beat to running. The drums kick band class in the ass, hahah. It is like a marching band but with raw music flowing.
@cheetah7769 actually it was on the original pressing of Leave Home....and was ultimitely censored off the lp because supposedly was influencing kids to sniff glue....the original pressing is now a collectors item
@lwcowgirls. the real reason that song was deleted from the album was due to legal pressure from the Carbona company, who felt their trademarked cleaning products were being slandered. Of course, in the fullness of time, this is how most people have even heard of Carbona. Their website touts sales in every country in the world, but it was historically a New York City company.
@SKPython Interestingly, the Australian band the Hoodoo Gurus even covered the song. But again, this is only a live recording that never made it onto one of the official releases. Instead it's on Buuble and Squeak - a Ramones medley.

For some reason, the production sounds like one of those late-70s metal albums. It's just so dynamic and punchy.
Also, it's always nice to hear these guys sing about glue.
