On my experience, New strings always have alot of tone, and when they get old, they lose alot of their tone.. But I like rotosound though, they are so bright.
Great tone from both actually, though I have never really liked Fender strings, I have a set of nylon wounds on my fretless Rickenbacker , and they sound really good to me. thanks for posting.
I use fender strings and i'm satisfied. The price for your strings are there too
