  • The sheikh said it well. We muslims had damage the image of islam by our action which does not conform to the teaching of this beautiful religion. To the extend it became a religion of partisanships and holier than thou mentality rather than a religion for all mankind to serve.

  • MashAllah may we all benefit from Habib

    Shukran Ya Allah

  • habib umar sits with perennialists

  • great man

  • He's coming to Canada for his first time in about 3 weeks and he's going to visit my aunt's home and I'm invited!!!! :D Walahi I am so happy <3

  • @darkbreeze9009 MashaALlah...what a lucky person you are !!! so envy youu...and Wallahi so happy for you too... :)

  • may allah swt bless and persarve sayyadi shaykh habib omar !!!!!

  • @easyonetwothree

Habib `Umar, 'their leader' follows the shafi`i madh-hab, and this means -- as you yourself so kindly pointed out -- that his beard does not have to be a fist full length. Do you need the references? I'll look them up when I get time. was-salam

  • @SuleimanalMuslim I second your point. The ijma of the scholars of the Shaffiyya is that it is permissible to trim the beard, though the intention to grow a beard is still wajib. While this was not the position of Imam Shafi'i (rahimAllah), it was the position of all the other great mashaykh of that madhab.

The apparent miss-steps of others should not concern people, their own sins are enough for them.

  • And if that is not a trimmed beard (on that leader), then Ma sha Allâh first time I see a beard which have grown with a natural flow to look like a trimmed beard, Allâh indeed creates what ever He wills. But I doubt it's with a natural flow.

  • @easyonetwothree ..

Bro please for the sake of Allah look at the wisdom, mercy and smiles of those brothers and stop judging people by their beards, and no, mathabs dont say have ur beard going all out, they say trimming the beard is permissible and the most recommended length is a fist-length. To look at a Muslim and judge his commitment to Allah by the length of his beard (or whether he has one for that matter) would be misguided path to take.

    Allahu a`lam

May Allah guide us all inshallah

  • @AllahsCreation My Sheikh once told me, 'some men grow beards, and the pride they have in them, causes them to be pulled to hell by them'.

Fulan fulan should know that it is better to have no beard, but be without pride or judgement, than have a beard the size of Yemen but cause it to be a source of pride and judgement.

Of course when I say pride I do not mean in the sense of permissibility in relation to liking to look good.

  • @easyonetwothree I suppose your obsessed with what women wear? God forbid we should end up like the Jews with their 620 something daily rules.

. Since I am not a 'good' Muslim (as those whom claim to be good turn my stomach with their stupidity) so my manners are between me and my Lord. That said; Shut up about beards and if a mans thobe is not 2" above the ankle. Not that there's any Zoroasrians around to be confused with. What about THE HEART..... you plum.......

  • @ZimimeXoxo But hey, you can correct me if Im wrong, Im not the haqq neither do I have ears and eyes which see every opinion out there, maybe you know something I don't know, but this is what I know so far.

  • @ZimimeXoxo Yeah, and the prophet ('alayhi salatu wa salam) said that the beard should be left alone and all madhabs have agreed that it should be a full grown beard, except ash-Shafi'i (whos with the minority), but the madhabs have agreed and the correct opinion by the majority of the scholars of today (is as before), that it can be cut after a hands-grips length, but there are some scholars which say it's bid'ah if you don't cut it, but the majority disagree with these scholars.

  • full room of muslims and not a single one of them have a full-grown obligatory beard, a true pity, not even the leader! A pity! May Allâh guide them. even the kids at our gathering here got beard.
