Actually I think that he just bite the glass, hide the broken piece and then make the "chewing" noises with his mouth empty. Still, very clever and skillful.

come on y'all, it's sugar glass! u know how they have special shatter glass for movies and etc. sugar is another type of glass that is used as a prop. it is not magic to the magician, it is routine...
For those of u who think this is an illusion I can tell u, and that because I know, he is actually eating it and it is not an illusion but a well performed "stunt"... Glass is made out of sand and if it's pure glass u can chew it and eventually bring it to a state safe foe swallowing... As long as u keep it away from hurting your Tongue and front teeth... The tricky part is to actually brake it in the beginning without cutting your self ,,, like he did. Again it needs practise and u should not
