  • Here's wishing you a happy lunar new year. Wan Shi Ru Yi. Sui Sui Ping An. 20120113@6.18am Friday.

  • It's min nan yu. Hoklo is the spoken Taiwanese dialect. 20111118@0753am Friday.

  • perhaps a reflection of her life in 1:47. a quiet contemplative girl who needs to constantly flash that irresistable smile and act happy for the sake of the world.

  • I love Teresa :)

  • I am sorry, but she look soooooooo*BREATHES IN* adorable here. WHy did Those Above have to take her away from us at such an early age?

    :'(

    Liked!

  • Not just her songs but the total, permeating sense of familarity and intimacy reminds the listners "this is home; this is my singer!"

  • @aluba1112

Her spoken Taiwanese was fine. Taiwanese also has diiferent accents depending on where one comes from and there never was one absolute standard. Imitation? Heck! If we do not imitate, we can not even speak or think or write, let alone sing songs! Considering the many languages she spoke, she was versatile and smart as much as she could sing!

  • thanks for uploading

  • . It is so heartachingly beautiful

  • Yes, the lyrics were somewhat altered. I think the version I used to know has a little more Taiwanese "flavor", language-wise, that is.

(Sorry, I don't know how to write Chinese in this comment box directly; I will need to write on my word document and copy/paste it)

Tks!

She is the best in the world!

  • B&W Playground in film

It seems the film shot TT's age 15 when she was in Universe Record

the Playground in film is TPE Kinder Playground and the most remarkable Dragon phinex boat ,Turning Coffee Cup

the color film is not inTPE,maybe LA , I guess

  • Comment removed

  • They make colloguils very intimate and close to the folks who grow up with the dialects. Do not take them in surface meanings. These are very heart-warming language!

  • This is not a place to quarrel. Stop being childish and listen to Teresa's song.

  • The most precious video of teresa i discover, thank you stunningnuts.

  • Sweet video of Teresa Teng !She looked very happy and had a fun time at the park!Where

is it ?Reminds me of the theme parks in

    California and Orlando!

  • I wonder if this film at the park was shot for the record company? Miss Teresa is wearing make-up and sporting a new hairstyle.

  • i like this song both in Taiwanese and in Mandarin version

  • I'm from Singapore and i love Teresa Teng hokkien/taiwanese song.i still have 2 of her"black rubber disc"It's a 45 revolution/min disc.one is the "hot dumpling",and the other is安平追想 曲.of course,it"s belongs to my daddy.i first heard the song all the way back in the 70's.

  • I love this footage. Glad to see TT as a teenger. She was so lovely, so adorable....

Teresa Teng is truly THE daughter of Taiwan.

  • I am very impressed by Teresa's intepretation of Taiwanese songs. Although the Taiwanese dialect and the Hokkien dialect are of the same root, these are NOT Hokkien songs, because they were written in Taiwan, sung by Taiwanese for generations and were carrying the local flavor of Taiwan.

  • couldn't have said it better myself

  • Is this place is Ocean Park?

  • Sweet memories....Never forget her everything.....:)

  • THANKS FOR THIS SONG

  • Is this the only Tai Gee Gua we could have here? Teresa sang plenty of songs in Min-nam goo. I hope other persons can post as many as possible of Teresa´s Tai Gee Gua.

  • Beautiful Taiwanese song, beautiful voice, beautiful Teresa!

  • millridge, lee kam toh yeh kong a!

  • How can I marry you. ( she has some thing bury inside her mind). I am so sad such that my tear fall when I try to eat.

    Third portion:

Although I already know that we can not get married.

However, I fall in love with you. I will never forget your true and sincere love toward me. Now everything has come to this situation, I can not make any decision by myself. I love you, but in order to avoid hurting you, I decide to leave you today.

My heart is totally broken and I feel so sad.

  • TQ very much "millridge". TQ 4 d translation of the lyrics. Understanding the meaning make this song even so meaningful. Is this original Teresa Teng song? I definitely love this song. Wish to listen to more Teresa Teng's song in Taiwanese/Hokkien. If you have, pls share with me ya...TQ.

  • This is a old folk song popular in Taiwan.

All Hokkien songs sung by her are old songs.

  • l love most of Teresa Teng is whatever languages n dialects, she sing d songs softly, clearly.very sentimental, not irritating n no sense of lust.

  • You totally broke my heart for a sweet and pure first love. Now, whenever, I looked into the mirror about myself, I always cry.

    Second portion:

Although I already know that both of us can not stay together. I still thinking about you and I can not even have a clear thought. Sadly, I have to accept my fate. Only can bear this broken heart and Bite my lip to accept the reality. You (another you) do not know what I am doing now and continuously asking me to marry you.

  • The name of this song is "Broken heart Love"

    First portion:

Two young lovers dating and they love each other very much. We secretly take a vow to marry each other no mater what. I was eagerly waiting for the family side from bridegroom to my home and arrange the wedding details as soon as possible. However, after he left nobody came from boy side to discuss the wedding.

I resent that you are so cruel and totally ignore me. You have changed your heart and decide to marry another woman.

  • she said hard to eat while you see shit =S

its not cald fujian hua, but she speak southern min dialect

  • If you are joking, it's not funny. If you're being serious, then clearly you don't understand the dialect. Well, I do, and what she says is that she is so heartbroken that as she tries to eat, she can't help crying, and her tears fall in her food. Please stop being ignorant.
