....I've never seen someone start drawing from the wheels. In fact, those are USUALLY the last things drawn on a vehicle, at least to that detail. I laugh when I watch people post drawing videos on here when you can tell they're just painting over things instead of making basic shapes, then adding in details. It completely decimates any drawing technique.

What you do is you scan a drawing (black and white) and you use the pen tool to outline the shapes. Then you add the grades, high lights and shadows!! Takes about a week and a half to do!!

It's " not " photoshop It's Illustrator. The video was done in stages with over lapping layers. He did the art work first, then activated the layers throughout the video.

Ok i dont understand these drawings, it looks as though the shapes are pre made for you, im stupid i know, but this just looks like it was a template and you just put detail in it. how do you draw these things from scratch? and I think i speak for the majority! when we mean HOW we mean from explaining it to a 8 year old. should give u an idea.

the person is not showing his actual working. he just takes pictures of each layer/shape he adds, with a cool little swiping animation to it.

basically image he took one picture of every change he made then made a slideshow of them with a swipe animation. thats what he did

really the tools used to make a picture JUST like that dont require drawing skills at all, you CAN draw, but you can use the pen tool, which im pretty sure this person did, its amazing

Yeah I agree. Gradient Mesh gives great results, but once you are done you ask yourself, why?

Once you have the grid done, the rest is copy-paste pixels for the next 5 hours.

In case you couldn't tell, this isn't the entire process. He's just revealing shapes. Notice the select tool is always on and there is no cursor. Vector tracing in Illustrator is pretty easy. There are a few tutorials on it around.
