I'm surprised so many people hated this movie. After seeing the trailer, I did have mu doubts. But it's one of the better "We found footage" movies I have seen in awhile. I didn't mind the subtitles. The story was original and the special effects were really good. 4out of 5 stars. Only thing I didn't like was the ending, which was somewhat anti-climactic. This better than the garbage that Hollywood spews out. Although I read there will be a US version, which will blow like most American remakes.

The whole problem is, this folkore was founded in days where christianity was contemplated as the sacred good and the trolls were an obvious bad threat from hell.

Its not the case in our days, and in this movie, the trolls are depicted not as horrible monsters, but as a natural neutral poor rabid murdered tribe to feel compassion with and who have a reasonable motivation to hate christians for their reasons.

This changes the folkore in a subliminal way and im here to explain this for you :)

The reason they can smell Christian blood is because that is the way the trolls were portrayed in ancient times. Christians were depicted as the good (mostly by themselves) and the trolls being bad reacted to this. Besides, it's all a load of nonsense anyway, Trolls and Religion.

Im not very comfortable with this religous topic in it, it was completly unnecessary and seems horribly intended.

In the final scene christianity was degraded as a bait to be hated by nature (the trolls) ,it wasnt a political movie to be argued about, but just a verdict about christianity and islam in a very odd scenerio.

The muslim camerawoman wasnt a muslim woman for obvious reasons, but why this eerie political message for heavens sake? I will call this a racist movie against christs.

Just watched this on netflix last night... Awesome movie!!! One of the best "faux documentary" movies ever made. Better than paranormal activity and it blows Blair withch out of the water. I had never seen a tailer for it and hadn;t even heard of it till I saw it in the netflix queue and I'm sooo glad I didn't... good movies are just that much better when you don't know what to expect.

Being able to recognise different languages, for instance. I don't know what country you're from, but imagine Sean Connery dubbed into French, with an entirely different voice.
