@ThoseCrazyGuys131 Sonic can't stay in that invincible stage forever. Wario, however, is MUCH more endurable. He's been flattened, torn to shreds, incinerated, frozen solid, zombified, blown up and much, much more in his games. In fact he even cheats death through BRIBERY in Wario World.

To put it simply, Wario is pretty fucking hard to kill. Sonic uses rings to protect himself from fatal wounds. Wario uses a ridiculous amount of gold to resurrect himself as much as he wants.
