The height requirements are not nearly as strigent as in the past. Mostly you have to be able to lift 40 pounds and be able to open the exit doors with no problems.

Your best asset is your excellent customer service skills. Reapply and follow that dream! Good Luck!

Ear plugs dull the roar of the engines. For your ears try to yawn or chew gum. If it's a long flight bring extra money because they now charge for the pillow, blanket and perhaps even the bathroom. It can get really cold up there. I find that a cocktail helps and I usually have something to eat. They also charge for meals & drinks. I usually skip the movie because I can never hear it anyway. Also try Dramamine if you want to sleep. Have a Good Trip and Happy Landings!

Lana, thank you for all you do to make our flights safe. I for one have needed care on a flight after I came down with an ear infection. I was in horrific pain in both ears and the flight attendant knew what to do to make me a comfortable as she could. I have flown other flights were the count on board was low and we played and joked the entire way. If you think this job is easy, then try to do it yourself! Walk in someone else s shoes before commenting. Waitresses also have a hard job!

I always do it and am a F/A. Simply sit in your seat, look and count how many steps it would take to get to the nearest exit. That aircraft fills with smoke or goes dark, you can count your way to the door.

Yes~ Peanut allergies, choking, dizziness, etc. and one poor man died on a 12 hour flight but until a coroner is called to pronounce dead, they are considered alive! Hard to function with a poor dead man in 22C

Automated External Defribrillator to save a life. Scary but such a wonderful device onboard!

Nope, not pulling your leg. He wasn't declared dead until the coroner could be there to do it and we had to treat him as a passenger. Good thing he didn't ask for a soothing cocktail or peanuts. Most people didn't even know... He appeared to be asleep. And Yes, we had to cover dead people in training. After all, all of the safety regs are because someone has lost a life. Sad really but he died doing what he wanted to do.

Naw, the pantyhose don't itch me. Your feet hurt so bad at the end of the trip that that is the least of your worries.

Chew gum, make yourself yawn. Take a SudaFed 15 minutes before takeoff. It helps! xoxox
