Ms Washington, I don't know if you can see this, but a while ago, I saw Elana stone perform live. Afterwards I said to her "you've got the best voice I've heard since Megan Washington" . She laughed and said she'd tell you. After I recovered from my minor heart attack I went home happy.

This song reminds me very much of the slow movement from Ravel's G major piano concerto. Both in its actual musical material as well as the emotional world it inhabits. I like the subtle pull between major and minor. Very beautiful.

So there she was singing joke lyrics in a comedy segment, and her voice still absolutely broke my heart. I've performed with Vince Jones, toured with various other "names" but watch this girl, she's the best thing we've had in decades!!
