One whispered comment from Elvis at the beginning and the back-up group can play the entire song all the way through, and he can follow without a single goof, and even more miraculously, horns are audible! Even though none are visible.
It's sad, I know....Try looking up Bye Bye Birdie...staring Ann-Margret...i'm sure the whole movie was posted...it's as good or even better than Viva Las Vegas...
Ann is dressed head to toe and she is the sexiest thing I have ever seen. I married a redhead because of her. When she says "right" I just melt. My wife hates Ann Margret, just like I hate Paul Newman. (He celebrity lust) I think I win in a landslide. Never saw Paul dance.
Gotta disagree with this one. But Anne definitely kept pace with the King. Though let's all be honest....Elvis' singing here is what brings forth the dancing magic from both of them. Without that....it's just another great dance number........as opposed to the FRICKIN' FANTASTIC NUMBER that it will always be.
blakesoprito; hmm.. I have some images in my head of Elvis, sitting on his ranch, playing unplugged sessions with Bruce Springsteen and other rock musicians.. funny to just think about what it would have been like, thank you for getting my imagination going there, positive vibes.. :-)
Granted DD22, about the monkeys/hip hop idiots, but unfortunately with changed times, sexy dancing is now a thing of the past. It's all about aerobic junkies.
Cyd Charisse, a great favorite of mine , but again, wouldn't make the cut in our times.
check out some of the latin American dancing styles of Argentinian Tango dancers, even their styles have altered from how these dancers did a tango years ago. Now it's all about incorporating aerobics into every dance on the planet. .

Now why can't Hollyweird be as nice, pleasant, and conservative as it used to be during these days?

then maybe he would have been singing the kind of music he wanted to sing.

If ann-Margaret was trying to get a gig dancing today, she would be overlooked due to her lack of flexability.
Good for then, but not know.

cydice, dancers today look like dancing ego monkeys. I'd rather look at Anne Margaret then today's modern day hip hop idiots.

Whatever man I would take Ann-Margaret over any dancer today. She gorgeous and her character was a nice lady in this movie.
