Eh, I'm not too concerned with the royal family. It doesn't really interest me nor does it affect me. I don't really get the appeal, but then again, I'm haven't grown up with it... I guess I also don't get the appeal Americans have for it.
I feel slightly violated everytime you wink at me through a camera. :P
As for the royals, it's mostly an excuse to live vicariously and pretend like we are royal with lovely dresses and beautiful crowns and people who call you your highness and have to be nice to you and did I mention the dresses? Lovely clothes.
I'm not even British, but I watched and thought it was beautiful. There are tons of "reality" shows on TV about weddings and mostly those are ridiculous, over-the-top affairs that do nothing but celebrate the bride and groom. (I really can't stand the cutesy "I'll always take out the trash! I'll always call you my little sweetiekins!" self-written vows.) So it was refreshing to see a dignified, traditional wedding.
TheEditingMay has returned! Yes. I think it's great that the world gets to celebrate British culture along with the U.K., and it shows a lot about our global society or whatever. I didn't watch, but I recognized how important it was.
Celebrating being British, being traditional, love and heritage. what's not to like! plus, she's bang tidy, jus' sayin' ;D can't wait for the new videos
@casioclark Couldn't have put it better myself. I agree, she is fiiiiine. But then again, her sister, I would absolutely wreck that! Total annihilation.
I watched a little bit of the wedding myself. It was interesting, and I am a sucker for a little tradition and over-the-top outfits, so it was amusing enough for a time.
What can I say? I just liked all the medals. They were very shiny!
I mean, people will complain about the cost of said wedding, but there was no way it wasn't going to happen, so one might as well make the most of the money that was pumped into it, right?
Tradition is nice, as we long as we remember it's just a laugh. When people take tradition to seriously you get conservatives, fundamentalists and generally creepy people.

I agree with everything you said, although I felt like you weren't even addressing to me (since I'm not British). :( I'm always pro-tradition, especially if it's as awesome as yours is...and I really loved and enjoyed the royal wedding broadcast. :)
@vampirica89 I wasn't deliberately trying to leave anyone out, but as you can understand, what with me being British, it's easier to speak from my perspective and of the one of my peers whilst being as general as possible about the event. Ya dig?
@TheEditingShop Yes, I totally both understand and respect that, don't worry, I wasn't even accusing you for deliberate leaving out. All I was saying is the way you've put it at 0:58 - 1:03, (unintentionally) sounded like referring to the British only (but it's ok with me). ;)
@TheEditingShop I do. i believe you mentioned this at the gathering i just COMPLETELY forgot. im guessing one of these will be the GATHERING VIDEO YES REMEMBER THAT XD and also. picture. upload them. XD
It is good to know where we came from as well as a nation.

Yeah, didn't really care about the Royal Wedding ...
But best of luck with VEDM! Great goal of 90 seconds or less! I tried to do that last month for VEDA, but things got out of hand a teensy bit ...
