I can't believe I found this video.... I've listened to it several times since finding it. She captures particular emotions so perfectly, it's simply amazing. I know that she didn't have a huge following, but I remain loyal since her first album. I don't believe in curses, HOWEVER, it is interesting that three of the best emotional belting singers of the 20th century all died at age 47. Edith Piaf died at age 47 in 1963. I seem to remember Johnny Carson comparing Laura Branigan to Piaf when she was on in the 1980s. Next Judy Garland (greatest singer in recorded history in my opinion) died at age 47 in 1969. Then Laura Branigan died tragically too soon at age 47 in 2004. The coincidence is rather creepy and tragic. Miss them all.

I agree, this is a very good song by Laura.

I notice that this song isn't quite as popular as some other songs like "Gloria" and others. I guess thats since this song is more meaningful, and touching, as opposed to energetic and bouncy. But Laura wanted to touch our hearts, and she does a great job at it with songs like this one!

Dear Folks

Read amongst one of you that Laura Branigan passed away. In my youth was in Saudi Arabia in 1995, where life is very tough for any expatriatem especially indians. Whenever was down and out used to listen to her songs to feel better and get moving and get going the next morning. Well its Karma that such a beautifull singer with such sweet and divine voice had to meet her maker so early. May God bless her soul and hope she is reborn somewhere again to enchant the world.
