  • @youkh2 funny thing is how little role Yukino had in the first game too.

  • @infinityofgenesis never played P1, as i said before. But i dont like her in either game i think.

  • @youkh2 yeah IS is pretty awesome... if you want to know more about Yukino you should play P1 n_n

  • for me p1 story is better then p2,p3 and p4 becua the first one was creepy will the others turn in drama to much drama

  • I just beat the psp version and I gotta say it's the best Persona game and one of the best RPGs out there. I need to get Eternal Punishment asap!

  • @Dexter158 go on xD

  • I prefer Persona 3 and 4 over Persona 1 and 2 though all of their stories are really good.

  • @Summonearth P2, P4, P1,P3 in terms of story for me

  • You know what?! Can't we stop arguing! We aren't the Final Fantasy Fanbase! I didn't like Persona 2 but you don't see me saying "P3 or 4 is better!" Pathetic...

  • @ANEWPATHWAY

Fanbases are all the same. They tend to bitch about the same things and engage in the same useless discussions about which game is better and which is the worst. Of course, not all fans of the fanbase are like that but the majority acts that way. So, it doesn't matter if the subject is Final Fantasy, Persona or whatever, these stupid discussions are bound to happen.

  • In summary what would be the difference between Persona 3/4 and Persona 1/2?

  • @masterblade99 Personas 1/2 were much more traditional JRPGs in that you had a party and traversed dungeons only. With all the typical JRPG mechanics such as armor and specific weapons to a character. Personas 3 and 4 added a dating sim aspect, which really broadened the fanbase and cemented the series's popularity. However, old fans, ranchdressing up there, tend to look down on the new games for not being more of the same. New fans have huge overlap with weeaboos. Eh, I like all 5 games myself.

  • @Graynumber Amen

  • ... since this song wasn't actually in the soundtrack... i try to download it manually... and it went wrong... i have ''Kimi no Tonari De'' meaining wrong one... but still beautiful XD

  • I hope in P5 they can add the tarot cards so your partners can use persona of their arcana instead of the same initial one and then unlock an ultimate persona for themselves upon completion of their social link (without having to get it via tarot cards. They should get in automatically when their link is complete). I think you also be able to buy some free tarot, too. The contact system in both P2s and in P1 should be more better for P5.

  • persona 2: Innocent Sin and Enthernal P. are best games in Persona series

  • @miroslavblek agree with that

  • Awesome song and if this is the same artist then it ranks up there with Continued Story from the ending of Code Geass. Now I'm new to the whole series (currently only own P1 for the PSP and loving it) and am wondering if P2 actually lives up to all the praise I've heard. I first became interested in the series due to P3 and solidified by P4 (granted I couldn't get them because I was too young) and am really hoping that the others are as top notch as the first?

  • @RedRobinTitan I haven't played P1, but I can tell you that P3 and P4 are really great. They play somewhat differently from P1 and P2, but I highly recommend those games nonetheless.

  • @RedRobinTitan i´ve played all the persona games.... believe me Persona 2 is the best persona game ever!!! hope Atlus localices on the PSP in America n_n

  • Ah, Persona 2:Innocent Sin, such a great and Awesome game!

  • This song is very good !!

  • ^_^

  • I hope they keep this song for the PSP remake. It was one of hitomi's great successes!

  • Favorite ending credits theme ever....

Persona and Shin Megami Tensei series are high caliber games as well!

  • Mm, personally, I thought the dungeon + daily life mechanics in P3 and P4 brought something interesting to the game, so I would love to continue seeing that. That being said, I love all the games -- what draws me in the most is the storyline and the characters (especially the characters). All of the Persona games thus far have ties to each other, or at least casual mentions that seem to link the games together in some way.

I can't wait to see how the Persona series will evolve.

  • i cried when i beat this game the song made me cry this game is the best of the series the first persona game i played was p3 that was the first persona game almost a lot of ppl played then i got p4 it was the best game ever until i got p2 is/ep i cried when i beat it omg im still crying form this song

  • i've only played P1,P3, and P4. im really curious about this one, hopefully is can find it somewhere.

  • People talk about P3/P4 having great replay value because of extra stuff you could do like maxing social links and extra boss fights and whatnot.

P2 IS/EP have better storyline, better character development, and better gameplay. These make P2 worth playing over and over and over again without any frustrating social links and school events.

If you have played P1 and P2, P3/P4 are actually step backward from those two prequels

  • @cainschwartz I liked the character development in P4. Though I agree that P2 Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment is extremely good, if downright depressing. They were my favourite games.

P1... errr... the translations... the plot wasn't exactly bad, but it didn't catch me as well as P2. P3 wasn't either bad, though the characters seemed rather off in comparison to P2 and P4, at least in my opinion. P2 wins in plot to all, though.

The gameplay is different, though I can't really choose.

  • Personally, I wish they just made P3&P4 a sub series of the Persona series instead. They feel really out of place, anyway.

  • Erm... Persona is already a subserie of a subseries D:

Megami Tensei > Shin Megami tensei > Persona > subserie lol

  • @milkbullet Nah, it's Megami Tensei > Shin Megami Tensei > Revelations > Persona.

    Just fixing! :D

  • @CeltaHeaven Persona is not a "subseries" of Revelations, Revelations: Persona (P1) is the americanized version of Megami Ibunroki Persona

  • @zephiel28 originally, Revelations was a subserie.

  • @milkbullet wait what is it a subseries of though? it has to be a subseries of something right?

  • @GayImmortalWizard

I strongly agree. The first three games all intertwined with each other, and, even if only slightly, they were connected with the main series, specifically 'if...'

P3 and P4 hardly deserve to be called persona games, let alone Megami Tensei

  • @HouseTalents You do realize that some people view the whole Persona spinoff as not being deserving to be called Megami Tensei games. The topic can start a flame war on some boards. The self proclaimed "hardcore" fans are scary.

But that aside is there any particular reason you don't like P3 and P4? Or does it just seem too easy in comparison to the other Persona games? I don't think they can make it a sub series considering that there isn't really another category to put them in.

  • one of the best game in the PSX.

I thank the people who are behind the Translation Patch.

  • I sincerely hope P5 is gonna be like P1 in terms of formula because I am SICK AND TIRED of the whole gigantic dungeon mixed with dating system mechanic. SERIOUSLY.

  • Agreed.

  • @ranchdressing

....I think it`s awesome, but eh. I`d rather have a mix of both.

  • @ranchdressing What's wrong with it? Personally, I appreciated it, because it gave the game much more re-play value.

Also, the social links gave a much needed break from endless grinding. If you prefer endless grinding, that's fine, but personally, I don't.

  • @Sanriko Let me put it this way. Why should you limit the game to one year and make your MC hang out with friends in order to boost fusion proficiency when there's a better way by simply killing shit? Atlus does a great job of making even the most unmemorable of NPCs more than one dimensional, but godDAMMIT! I just want to learn how to fuse awesome demons and not rely on weaknesses alone! I don't want to hear about bipolar drama actresses with their mommy issues so I can fuse Lucifer later!

  • @ranchdressing

well alot of people like it so deal with it...

  • Seriously, SMT wouldn't be what it is without long dungeons. And really P3 and P4 weren't that bad just for throwing in something like that. I enjoyed the ability to learn about characters so throughly that i got attached to them. Fuck, P4 was great, it was nice to sit down and watch a story unfold that wasn't about the fate of the world, and more about the characters going through the journey. BESIDES FUCKING 2 games of the Social link formula gives you no right to be sick of the idea.

  • @ranchdressing I'd say that too but that gave the game more replay value than p2 has.

P2 doesn't even have new game plus -__-

  • @ByakkoBlaze Alright, alright, I see what you're saying. Replay value is a little important, too. However, if the dating sim HAS to be in there, I'd much rather there not be a one-year time limit and not too much of a time constraint when you try to save people or whatever the story has you do. So I don't 100% hate it. It just makes the game harder than, imo, it has to be.

  • I wasn't a big fan of the negotiation. I like using default persona, down to the point that I had to grind like a mad man in P3 and P4 just to keep up with my ground... heh... of course, I made Thanatos and Loki later, and Messiah and no-Okami later... but still.

  • good song

    good lyrics

    thanks

  • Comment removed

  • kimi no tonari is the ending theme?? wow. I've had this song for a while but never knew about that.

  • I wish they would bring back negotiation in Persona. That was one of Megaten's best charms.

  • Yeah, take as long as necessary, I'm getting a bit tired of the formula from 3 and 4.

  • im hoping 4 persona 5

  • Thats the beauty about persona. the games have unforgetable characters and terrific story with a great ending to match. thats why i hope the next one is on the

ps3 ^^. Imagine that could be 200+hours of gameplay.

  • let's cross fingers and wait ;)

I bet it will take atlus SOME time to make 200+ of content T_T

  • i say let them take all the time they want. The longer it takes that just means there taking there time on a great idea of a story ^.^

  • Just because its on PS3 dosent mean it will have 200+ hours. How many games have that much story material really. Nothing wrong with wishful thinking though.

  • That is true. But imagine the replay abiltiy from persona 4. Maxing all of the social links, getting every persona, and the story itself. to me replay ability is what i like about the game.

  • I seen that P5 is gonna be on PS3

  • including 360 cuz Atlus is trying to hired both ps3 and 360 programmers for P5

  • Possible, but I won't believe it until i seen it.

  • persona 5 was recently announced but only for ps3 or at least they started development

  • So beautiful....really the best ending theme possible for the game. I always end up crying when I hear it.

  • Love this song. : ]

  • Here's the final verse:

The song that can be heard now stirs my heart, my heart is worn away

My real self feels like an illusion, let me heart be feeble

  • I'll smile for you right now, I'll sing for you right now

I'll find my dreams, that eternally shine with light

So that I can walk on

I'll smile for you right now, I'll sing for you right now

I hope that the lamplight doesn't go out

At the moment when I go from being a girl, to being an adult

  • I'll smile for you right now, I'll sing for you right now

I'll find my dreams, that eternally shine with light

So that I can walk on

Hey, love is right here, this breast will heal your wings

And a girl starts walking again, toward a road that continues on forever

  • I'll smile for you right now, I'll sing for you right now

I hope that the lamplight doesn't go out

At the moment when I go from being a girl, to being an adult

An ugly duckling, dreaming in a dirty river

Searching for my true face, I remove the mask on my heart

And before I know it light pours down from the stars

It's as though I'm connected to them by white wings

  • I found the lyrics from mognet, there's more to come!

The song that can be heard now stirs my heart, my heart is worn away

My real self feels like an illusion, let me heart be feeble

I'm a girl that walks alone, and is always hungry

I hate smiling at the same time everyone else is

So an angel has swooped down, swooped down

So that the word "love" won't disappear
