I have a question man. Why do you play with your strumming hand closed up in a fist during lead parts like in 1:58 but you have your strumming fingers spread out while you play chords like in 1:05.

Does that help your playing?

i think its easier for me to have my fingers spread out when im palm-muting.

and the lead parts im jumping to different strings, so having my fist close helps to mute out the other strings that i dont want to ring out.

but then again, i dunno lol. its just the way i learned to play on my own :)
