If he couldn't beat an aging and downhill Wanderlei I don't know how much of a career he'll have in the UFC. This is assuming he wants to come back instead of making more movies for more money.

Cung Le has been in combat sports as long as Frank Shamrock if not longer and Shamrock has more experience in MMA so I think it's a pretty even fight. Shamrock was not washed up. Just because his glory days were behind him doesn't mean he wasn't still a good fighter or as good as he was 10 years prior. I think his striking here was actually better than it was when he competed in the UFC. And he is still in great shape.

Shamrock has a catch wrestling background. His style focuses mainly on submissions rather than grappling for dominant position like amateur wrestlers.
