@akaDJMantis okay thnx i had just thaught that this was yours so i asked you. But I will ask Charlie about this. Sorry I took so much of your time. Thnx :-)
@soccerdude7330 HAHA nice one, Im running the same chime, Did u get your from the FS website to? I plus about 50 other people who hear it every day prefer this version over the original one i was running.
Sounds really good on yours to, I found by raising the mid-range, high-mid range and the high-range frequency and cut all bass frequencys from the 160 HZ down out, it seem to projected ALOT farther away, And of course easyer on the voice coils.
@lucas20057 Thanks! Actually I purchased a Federal Signal SelecTone unit and purchased the "Westminster Chime" tone card with it. Wired it up to a sprinkler timer with a relay, and set it to activate the SelecTone unit at 9am, 12pm, 3pm and 6pm every day. Even has a manual activation button. Even have live voice set up as well through a PA microphone. No computers involved on this setup anymore! (thank god lol)
@soccerdude7330 sounds good, right now mine is running through the computer into a 1000 watt amp, i have converted a CB radio hand mic to run into my sound blaster audigy card. On a good news note, the airport that i got the 1000 watt amp from, called me today and told me i could grab the other 3 remaining amps, which would bring me up to 4000 watts :)... problem is finding enough horns to run all 4000 watts.
Now onto your selecTone, is that connected to your amp?
westminster,is usally used in the countryside for the time, but it can be used for other stuff like community meetings, farmer groups and to put your bulk metal/recycling out for collection !!! pole mounted audio is way better then blairing annoying noise from a moving vehicle.,,its way better then japanese garbage trucks, they play "ice cream "music like a icecream truck :P
That sounds llke eows 612

@akaDJMantis okay. Is the model 2 still in use? Or are they going to take it down? Olease write back, thnx.
whelen4004 1 year ago
@whelen4004 That's Charlie's (soccerdude7330) personal siren, mounted on his shop, so you'd be better off asking him.

@mametchi1234 This is close to what the EOWS series uses..but it uses a longer chime melody. This one is only half of the original tone.

SelecTone. Now charlie, now you've got your self a siren.

they play this in korea all the time, i prefer the"air raid" tone though :P it kicks westminster's ass in big time!!
daewooparts 2 years ago
@daewooparts LOL, well I use this tone for the daily noon chime. The yellow device (FS Model 2) is what I use for tornado warnings.
