In the case of same sex, then whoever asked should pay.

When I asked my ex girlfriend on our first date, I paid. (I am 27 yr old female btw) and when my current husband asked me out, he paid in full even though I offered to pay half.

It's the way it works where I am from and it's only my shared opinion which I thought was the whole point of leaving comments was sharing opinions and/or views on a topic.

Trust me, I am beyond the year 2007, just wish the rest of the world would catch up.
