Took a great song and ruined it. Apologetix needs to learn to write their own music instead of stealing from real musicians and riding on their coattails.
@yadash209 Ok, look at it this way... Say you were a famous singer, and you wrote an amazing song that you spent months to wright. you made tons of people happy for your new song, all rights are yours and you are realy proud of your accomplishment. But someone hears your song and desides to copy everything that you created, but they change the lyrics, and clame it there own calling it a "Parody".They end up sell there "Parody" for money and are basicly makeing money of the song you created......
@asis117 These people have permission to re-write the songs. And if they can appeal to a different audience or give people better words to listen to, God bless 'em!
@ajamaf3, they could write their own music. Good Charlotte wrote their own music and got famous. Apologetix is just riding on their coat tails because they can't write their own music.
It's beautifully ironic that God inspired J. to write these lyrics to Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. XD Something always bothered me about Good Charlotte - maybe it was the "Good" in the name. This, right here, tells you what "Good" really is - helping others, putting the benefit of the many over the benefit of the few, and most importantly, Christ and the change He works in your heart. To ApologetiX I say, "Amen, and Rock On!"
Yes the lyrics are clever, but they had to know the original song to do the parody in the first place, meaning that they fill their heads with immoral garbage, first, then take music played for a man's fame, not God's and change the words. That is not Christian at all. It is a weak attempt to take from the table of devils, and the table of the LORD, we are commanded against this in 1 Corinthians 10:21, and this band has made a career of it.
the only thing sad is someone who has a problem with anything christian they complain about it. instead of denying gods name in plan why dont you think about repentance and i dont hear anyone complain if wierd al wrote a parody, alls they are doing is spreading gods word through parodies,
I'm an agnostic. You should respect my right to express my opinion without harassing me for it. And don't try to force your religion on me, telling me to "think about repentance." Christianity is not about love like everyone says it is. It's about hatred toward anyone who's different - Jewish, Buddhist, agnostic, gay, etc. - and the killing of said people if possible.
maby you should try to understand instead of pushing things onto a group you hate and the holocaust was caused by a man who hated everything about himself
@MotherFerginPrincess, you have some strange opinions, & while you're very defensive about your right to have them, you want to deny the band & thesteve53006 the right to share their opinions.
@sk8erfreak9242 you just proved that you're not a Christian. Jesus said his followers would be different, would be characterized by love. But there's hope! Turn from your sins before it's too late, my friend.
Nah. We just figure if you lot can poke fun at our music, we can certainly poke fun at yours. I've listened to the real version a couple times, though I'm more of a classic rock person.
The point was he couldn't meaning if you were sent to torment the chasam between the twocannot be crossed, it was literally impossible for him to do anything. The rich man had his chance in life.
I seriously just got back from their concert.they didnt play this one tho,its my fav.bahah bill and all them signed my arm oh ya,i dint get any pics with them tho just autographs

That's sad. Christians think they'll go to Hell if they listen to the real version so they have to ruin it.

Christianity is to blame for the Holocaust.

@MotherFerginPrincess Christianity is about love; that's what Christ(our leader) taught. Christians don't hate any of those groups.
Hitler lead the Holocaust and he hated Christianity. Troll harder and God bless, :)

in order to make a parody they must first listen to the song they chose to make the song to give there opinion and set it to music they LIKE

Well, duh. They're a parody band. They take secular songs and put a Christian spin on it. Like "Bethlehemian Rhapsody" based on "Bohemian Rhapsody"

So it's cool for Abraham to not give the nameless guy water, but not cool for the rich guy to give food. Yeah, pretty flimsy fable.
