I actually envisioned doing something like this when I was ~10 years old (I'm 26 now), only with .22 rounds. This seems to be a safer alternative (and still looks fun as hell!)
Eu tou a construir um crusador de gerra que terá 6 armas de calibre 6,35mm ,5 canhões de 9mm e torpedos e misseis e sera todo revestido em chapa de aço de 5 mm de espessura ....
is there a way you salavage the ship or do you have to build everthing from scratch again ? The electronics must be pretty ruined, but you can probably protect some of it using a waterproof tank. I was very much into RC a few years back and i know this is awesome fun. But the building process is long when making something well. So i really wonder if you salvage the ships or just let them rest at the bottom of the lake. Please let me know!
now what would be a great battle would be the arunta (tribal class destroyer) vs the Schlesien (Deutschland class pre-dreadnought battleship) vs the Tunsberg Castle (Castle class corvette) now that would be epic to see
I don't get it. You say you sink them by punching holes in the balsa wood they are made from. Yet the actual hulls themselves are made from fibreglass? Or maybe its just the factory built one's are fibreglass?
@LordVordnorf The hulls are Fibreglass. They have windows cut out of them down both sides. They are then sheeted over with balsa. The balsa sheeting is what gets the holes punched in it by the onboard cannon of the other ships. Get it now?
@ObrienXp No because Canada sucks for disrespecting our National Anthem during game play a couple of years back and all these companies have decided to just bypass your disrespecting ass!
Jump over to the website and have a look at the FAQ - but in short, they have floats and nothing in them generally gets damaged by immersion in fresh water. My ship (which sinks several times in this video) has been sunk more than 30 times and is still going strong.
They are way to expensive to throw away and it takes a few sinks to get them debugged properly anyway.
Get in touch via the email address on the website and come to the Jan meeting - we have plenty of merchants that need skippers to sail them and you can get an idea of this is for you.
¡¡jajajejeje ...!! ¡Qué bueno!

@Sorflakne These models fire up to .25 cal steel ball ammo.
And yes, it is fantastic fun, and a challenge as well.

The ships are recovered, they have a float attached to them. They are usually back on the water within a half hour of recovery.
The electronics are waterproofed, and rarely suffer damage.

@vexviper Ignore that guy, he's just a troll, trying to start an argument.
Probably just a bored kid.
U-boats are quite small in our scale, and would require a great deal of expertise to make fully operational.
That said, nothing is truely impossible, just difficult.
slightlyfloored 3 months ago
About how much money do you spend on these in both building the ship and preparing/recovering from each battle?
jkilts 2 years ago
They are powered by Co2 and fire steal ball bearings

@ozboater I wonder how many metal bbs are on the bottom of that small lake?
do you ever think of dredging it?
Amunca 1 year ago
@Amunca The BB's are carbon steel balls, they rust away to nothing inside of a couple of months.
