  • by this point they should have changed their name to something other than black sabbath. i'm an ozzy sabbath fan first and foremost. i can get into the dio and even gillan stuff, but there is NOTHING black sabbath about this. might as well listen to whitesnake

  • @photoslum Yes, if there ever was a time for Iommi to change the name of the band, it would have been when Black Sabbath's record contract with Vertigo expired after The Eternal Idol in 1987. I accept all Iommi's releases as BS, but, he must admit, in hindsight, that he should have quit the name at that point. If there was a reason why he hadn't, it may have been he was hoping Geezer Butler would be rejoining once the IRS deal was made. Geezer did play a few gigs during 1989, but that was it.

  • This is cool... Black Sabbath with a REAL singer!

  • DIO is better than ozzy

  • i dont get this song? what they r singing about Jerusalem ? its bad or good?

  • This shit sounds like cheesy hair metal. Sabbath doesnt need keyboards and power ballad chord changes. Bleh. Mob rules blows this shit out of the water.

  • @po3ticTreachery you dont understand anything that is different. this is essential sabbath period. I dont understand people dont like what they dont understand....pretty ignorant

  • I cannot figure out... is this song for or against Jerusalem?

  • Good album.........I personally prefer Heaven and Hell but, after all, all Sabbath material is awesome.

  • Jerusalem it's my best song ever!!!!

  • I consider myself very lucky to have this on Vinyl :)

  • @glummers

    yes! you're very lucky!!!!

  • @glummers I've got Eternal Idol on vinyl...original UK vinyl at that.

  • Martin is good ... but Dio is even much better.

  • @gokuluks do you want a cookie for that comment .we all know Dio is much better !

  • @Defcon737 Ummm....no we don't

  • Such a great attitude recording !

  • Love this song; love this album. I wish I could find the LP somewhere... None of the local record stores carry it. Damn...

  • The Vikings did sail for Jerusalem and some even made it. Many died on the way however. Mel Gibson is making a movie called Valhalla Rising. It is about the Viking quest for Jerusalem.

  • I gained new appreciation for Black Sabbath with this particular song. I used to think that Dio was singing this song since I've never owned an album until I checked and was surprised to find out that there's another singer Tony Martin. I like him a lot. But I think his voice and singing style is easy to confuse with Dio's.

  • @Slavik07 They dont even sound the same. Not to me.

  • Sharon Osbourne is def, this stuff is amazing. All Sabbath rules.

  • I really like the beginning of Black Sabbath with Ozzy, then Dio and all, but all bias aside this is Black Sabbath at their very best. Some of the best music of all time in general here.

  • A great anthemic song in Sabbath art.

  • @4444mrjones Detraction. Different sounds, different singers appeal to different people. I like all of Sabbath, but the Bon Jovi comparison is bogus. Bon Jovi is not a Metal band. I happen to really like them, but they're Rock, Hard Rock on Slippery and Jersey. A real band just the same. You want plastic, you go Justin Bieber. Probably what you're selling anyway.

Black Sabbath is Metal. You're trying to put this down as bad for a good chorus, song structure and harmonies. Pretty sad, isn't it?

  • @WordsOfWisdom3000 I dunno man, Hard Rock is a bit pushing it concerning Bon Jovi. Great music though, I will give them that.

  • geoff nichols is the hidden force behind these great albums and an underrated keyboardist

  • a unica com o Tony martin que presta

  • black sabbath in the deepest abyss of insignificance!

  • yes he very underrated and i think cast aside because of the ozzy franchise. but the headless cross is the best sabbath album iv ever heard.

  • Tony Martin rocks with Sabbath, but his solo stuff sucks

  • @cjhart2000 that's because the rest of the black sabbath crew is pure gold, tony lommi is in my opinion one of the best guitarist ever.

  • holy bat biting idiot! This song is great!

  • This is one of the best and most underrated black sabbath albums. I love those parts where the backing chorus sings "Jerusalem!"

  • Without every member of the orginal band, they would not have been where they are today. Dio is fucking awesome, but there are alot of his songs that suck, and sound pretty much the same as others music. I could listen to every Black Sabbath/Ozzy song, and I could listen to every Ozzy solo song and it rocks.

  • @OzzyFan87 U r so Sick!

  • @OzzyFan87 U must be a "The osbournes" fan ahahahahaha

    Damn Sick!

  • @gfinetti Actually I dont watch that show. But, Believer is most likely my favorite Ozzy song. Could also be SATO or Over the Mountian. My favorite Dio song would have to be Children of The Sea. Let me guess, you like Crazy Train?

  • @OzzyFan87 Actually my favorite Ozzy song is Diary of a madman; but chose not so Known songs for the general public don't makes anyone an expert or having more credible opinion than others!

And yes, i love Crazy Train!!!

  • @gfinetti I didn't just choose less known songs. I love those songs. Crazy Train is played out as fuck though.

  • ozzy was black sabbath,70,s they were amazing.this song sounds like bon jovi, plastic.

  • @4444mrjones

I agree with u on tony martin but dio was way better than ozzy.DIO= best metal singer ever

  • @4444mrjones how the hell does this sound like Bon Jovi? I'm sorry but I just don't see it. I personally think Sabbath's entire discography is great. (including Heaven & Hell's The Devil You Know.) Hell even "Forbidden" is cool IMO.

  • @DarkRetroFan64 Forbidden was inconsistent is all, not a bad album, although it is one of their weaker albums IMO, but I agree, I still love the Ozzy and Dio era's most, but no way can anyone argue with the quality of Headless Cross, Tyr, Born Again, Seventh Star etc. Black Sabbath have been remarkably consistent, sadly people are not open minded enough to embrace all era's, all line ups of Sabbath had something special to offer, and Iommi is king.

  • Where's Tony Martin, anyway?

  • @radialspokes... Martin is tony's middle name. His real last name is hartford

  • sabbath with martin is a new brand with dio its diferent and with ozzy also

i think that on each album they were diferent and thats the thing which makes them one of the greatest band

  • @bartolomeo474 Yes. That is part of their greatness

  • A thousand points of light ...

about to go out .. forever.

    :-) You're fucked.

  • dio you aint sabbath!!

  • Sabbath is Sabbath but Without OZZY, is not the Same..

  • @SoloPiensoEnLaVagina no I agree without ozzy it's 10 times better.. :o)

  • Tony Martin era is sooooooo under rated! You know post Ozzy Sabbath is under rated, Dio, Gillian, Hughes, and Martin!

  • I wouldn't really say Dio is underrated, but I'll agree with you on the Tony Martin part.

  • yeah of course...

when black sabbath is anti-semetic, my grandmother is superman

  • radialspokes you are a retard obviously a product of infantile head trauma. It is touchy sensitive peices of shit like you that stop the progression of mankind.

    GO FUCK YOURSELF!

  • Hidden fucken gem. I just decided "I'll DL the first random unknown black Sabbath album I see" then this. :D <33

  • whoever rated this anthem 4stars is no metal fan!

  • you're a moron

  • meh

  • Every road that you travel on there's a price to pay.....classic

  • The Mystic dimension that Tony Iommi and he's Black Sabbath took in the Tony Martin era is simply Amazing... perfect songs and perfect lyrics!

  • This song gets stuck in your head.I like that.

  • this is one of the best black sabbath albums . I try to buy it but is too difficult to get it :(

  • Tony Martin was so underrated.

  • @brnleague99 YOU ARE RIGHT!

  • @brnleague99 I never underrated Tony Martin. He was an awesome singer. Have you heard his solo work?

  • @BBINGHAM032352 Yes I have. "Scream" is so good it induces an erection in those who hear it.

  • @brnleague99 Well,I wouldn't say that but the song "Raising Hell" sounds great.

  • @BBINGHAM032352 Second best singer of Black Sabbath.

  • shit got cancelled cus of low sales i think. which sucks cus i wanted to see them. the martin era is severely underated.

  • this is grate they had the change to style of music after ozzy went

  • learn the history noob

  • Great song!

  • pretty pissed that Headless Cross tour is canceled what happened anyone know?

  • STILL UNKNOWN

  • Ill see Headless Cross in Pa. !!! cant fucking wait !!

  • Headless Cross Tour 2009

    United States and Canada

My space Headless Cross Tour 2009

I cannot wait to see them in July in California! July and August 2009

  • the best black sabbath singer

  • fuck!

why is iommi being a dick and stoping the reissuisng of the martin albums,

i mean they still put ot technical ecstacy even though that sucked,

  • Song is the shyt. For whatever reason I like Ozbourne the least.

  • Theme Song sa Supernatural tv series==Sabunutan at bangayan ng mga Angels At Demons sa seires sa Jeru-Salem(City and Town of Black Magic Witches-Lilith) 666 latitude longitude global map centroid middleast.==tbc==....

  • Tony Martin's got a remake of that song on his solo album 'Back where I belong'. It's smoother but the entire album is a pure classic.

  • Yeah but 'Back Where I Belong' is unfortunately nearly impossoble to find for purchase :(

  • wow its hard to listen to a song like this after hearing a song like electric funeral, this song isnt bad but wow what a difference between eras

  • I don't understand..

First you say "Dio fucking sucked", then you say "Really I like Dio too"..

  • and it's definitely not definately moron.

  • Started my day great -good track !!

  • excellent track /,,/ /,,/

  • I didn't think much of Iommi as a soloist until I heard this. Great rhythmic sense, superior phrasing. Respect!

  • stupid comments

  • this is awsome shit , very 80s/90ish love it

  • Black Sabbath rules !!!!! Tony Iommi is a God !!

  • Majestic

  • WOW! i didn't expect anything after dio to be any good. Still ozzy's my favorite.

  • sabbath is not sabbath without iommi.the real sabbath is with ozzy although they arent black sabbath anymore, and they are with dio, and bill ward has quit from sabbath and has been replaced with vinny apicce(former dio drummer)

  • no dio wanted bill ward to do it since he was on the heaven and hell album but bill said that vinnie should do it. he and bill are really good freinds.

  • the version of this thats on tony martins "back where I belong" cd is done really well also

  • TYR is probably the best album from Black Sabbath.

  • I agree with you

  • It was a good one no doubt. (my fav is always gonna be heaven and hell though)

  • i agree, my favourite song is headlesscross though

  • Headless Cross, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, self tittled and Volume 4 are also really fucking good albums. Cant really say what the best is.

  • what about Sabotage?

  • @Mark2BTR The best is Headless cross

  • @Mark2BTR maybe the Tony Martin era..but lets not get too carried away O_O
