you play it wrong man, either you detune your guitar half a tone lower and you start on the seventh fret A string; or you try to play the song in standard tuning but then don't take the easy way by reaching single notes, play power chords, otherwise that sounds lame. Moreover, you play the verse wrong, you forget to play the B flat and A flat notes. Get yourself a tab

Also, if you play along with "too much, young, fast", you'll find they used standard pitch while recording that. It's a mystery why they tuned down for "Running Free", something that's usually done only to accomodate the lead vocalist's pitch, such as Guns n Roses. But if you do play running fee in standard pitch, aside from re-learning to use open chords, you only have to drop all of your solos one fret to stay in pitch.

For some reason, they recorded this song with their guitars tuned down 1/2 step. In other words, if you play this using standard tuning and pitch, it's much more difficult, having to substitute open chords with barre chords. The options are to re-tune your guitar down, or play to a YouTube vid of this song recorded live (search for their performance on Jimmy Kimmel's show), where they play in standard pitch. Less sound quality, but much easier to play along with.
