  • Disco beat ftw :D Just tested this synth in a store and loved it.

  • I see why Scott Storch uses this.

  • I actually like this one much better than the MOX6 (2011) & the Motif XF (2010)

  • As it is called the song of the minute 2:03 ?

  • @carlos54341

Crystal Waters - Gipsy Woman....played a little bit faster than the original.

  • Love how he builds up a "pattern" between 2:20 and 3:33 - sound familiar? It's I Wish by Stevie Wonder

  • I can hear Girl from Ipanema at around 1:26

  • lol..

  • his accent sounds so dutch haha :) but he does a great job !

  • can tell me how can i save beat that make on my motif.

  • THIS MAN CAN SWITCH TO ANY KIND OF GENRE QUICK....THE HIP HOP WAS BETTER THAN THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY MAKES IT

  • still the hottest motif keyboard

  • i dont have money for this ....can anyone recomend me a good yamaha piano for up to 1000 euros?

  • this guy suck

  • @poby5005 And you're better how??

  • .......he sold me

  • 24 people can't buy this.

  • holy crap. love this guys passion.

  • excellente' ,great staff, but i just dont wanna operate on this machine except for live performance but wanna work with vsts, aint there one, dont tell me bout the neo-soul rhodes,i am cool with them but want something non-samples.@Fheyd2Black You have no respect at all.

  • Does anybody know where to get one of these? Since YAMAHA discontinued them?

  • @BrandonProductions1 Check ebay out they had quite a few a couple days ago, or they have newer ones out now of that motif series , i'm getting an xs8 for grad gift but eventually would like to have the es just for fun.

  • did he said expensive or expandeable?

  • He forgot to say "if you are a millioner" at the end.

  • This dude is as dutch as it can get! ;)

  • YABADEBEEDOYDIBIDIBABFOEDEET!

  • how much it cost ??

  • Funniest guy ever:)

  • 22 people cant play the piano :) :0 haha

  • Go to spain with a keyboard.. Get the fuck outta here!

  • dude he makes loops in 1 minute... I'm studyng music like 2 years and I can't make a misserable progresion ¬¬

  • I want to go to Arabia!

  • These vid's are cool, but I hate how the guy has to like jab the buttons.

  • I'll have to get this one eventually! I just hope it's blind-friendly. LOL! It sounds like it is, though!

  • Lol his randomness is funny, would love to get the motif xs 7 or 8.

  • @Fheyd2Black Noooo...if he does this machine this well, then I can't even imagine what he can do with his trophy.

  • OMG! I want one!

    HOW MUCH IS ONE!

  • @tenglee2 U should get a good deal on ebay, they are no longer in production anymore because of newer XS and XF series...I have this unit and it kicks major @ss!!!!

  • i just wanna create voices... i don't need those cheap-ass poser arpeggiators... but it'd be an awesome workstation for making some unique tracks...

  • Lars Ulrich?

  • Lars Ulrich?

  • 0:55 is the best!

  • this is crazy hahahaha he's too funny ...

  • i always wondered how they made the music on the Sims 3

  • That's cool!

  • Hi what is that little bar under the wheels on the left side if the keyboard?

  • @BeanerKidProductions Ribbon Controller

  • Glad I can play this video over and over again, he bloody flew thru all of the features! *information overload*

  • King of Kings!

  • why he is so excited ??

    not because the coffee

  • He's so fcking funny, i watch this video all the time!

  • Does the Motif ES have Arpeggiator?

  • @Lor27509 Motif ES has 1,787 Preset Apreggiators and 256 User Arpeggiators.

  • Sounds like the background music in the boring informational videos my teachers play at my school..

  • Exelentes sonidos del motif

  • !!!!the scale you mentioned is not arabic scale..it's called hijaz scale with minimun of ahalf tone.. i meant quarter tones like those in yamaha psr700 OR & korg pa800 .....

what about the built in voices ..is there voice of the arabic instruments like lutes(oud &buzuq) ...kanoun...ney...kawala..mizmar..rababa ..daf ??!!! those are found in yamaha psr 7oo ORiental ..why not all music styles and voices comes in one keyboard ??!!!

  • Sounds are ancient. They need to update their sounds. Very informational though.

  • @KushLesko dont think so. Strings & drums are awesome. Check out Candy Shop, Just a lil bit from 50 cent and you will see what i mean. Scott storch uses the motif es as his main instrument with a mpc 2000xl. These songs are made with motif sounds. And? Yeeeeah... Great !

  • Sounds are ancient. They need up to date sounds...

  • @KushLesko From what I can tell this synth is aimed at players that want a wide range of realistic sounds and I think it delivers. If you wanted up to date sounds then you need to be using analogue and programming your sounds or the latest software plugins or something like a V-synth.

  • @maccagrabme Actually you can get outstanding pads, sci-fi, chill, and ambient voices and performances from this board.

  • iwal hay bastante pero bastante diferencia entre este motif y el xs o.o

  • His Hammond organ EXPLOSION is great stuff

  • DOES IT HAVE ARABIC VOICES AND ARABIC SCALE ????

  • @mazagangy82

ARABIC SCALE IS JUST: A, Bb, C#, D, E, F, AND THEN DESCEND AGAIN!!!!!!

Also learn to correct grammar, you fucking tool.

  • @HarvestHollow fucking "tool" !! dumb ass.

  • @TransynthMan That made no sense, dumb ass.

  • Funny that at 1:38 we see "SlapBert" on the screen which is exactly what i wanna do LOL!

Подробнее на gibsons.ru

  • @miamigroove, :-) I lolled and yes i agree, that dude drank too much coffee, but he's good too

  • So wait, you just point at it authoritivly and it turns on the megavoices? God damn.

  • This guy is two things.

    1- Very annoying.

    2- Very good!

  • I am getting agrevated by that guy Bert, way to anoying.

  • @vjrei Lighten up, Francis.

  • wow!!! i want this keyboard so badly.this thing can really piss off a bass guitar player, electric guitar player, or drummer with all this stuff lol.i like that thing at 3:39 haha its sounds cool.yabadebeedoydabefapbooday

  • What's the name of the Fender Rhodes patch at :30?

  • @thefonz003 It's called 'Sweetness' - Preset 1 - Bank C - Prog 05

  • It's fun to watch this guy play 'cause he just loves it so much :D

  • I love the yamaha demo songs.

  • didn't you die at the end of die hard? just kidding... really really cool.

  • Absolutely the best keyboard workstation out there. What this board has that Roland and Korg don't have is stunning acoustic sounds. All of our clients seem to lose their jaws to the floor when they hear our Motif ES7. I love the Korg Triton we have, but it pales in comparison to this board. 5 Stars, 2 thumbs way up, and a nobel prize. :)

  • man ich kann den tüp nit ab

  • Вот еще по Korg тут нашёл мануалы и всякие файлы тут gibsons.ru

К стати продают б.у очень дёшево.

  • EPIC FAIL AT "disco beat"

  • wish I can afford one of these:(

  • go see mike kalombo he use yamaha motif es 8 and makes good staff

  • I just bought a Motif yesterday...Motif's are GODLY

  • how much?

  • Comment removed

  • I have Hypersonic 2 and SampleTank 2 plugins. To me they are good workstations. What can I get from this that I can't get from Plugins? I don't do live gigs and even if I did I could still use a Plugin. Is it really worth all that money? Someone tell me

  • @BullyBeat

you're right,... but when you sum up all the stuff you have to buy to make a plugin sounds good : computer, soundcards, keyboards, amps, cabling, plugin's themselves,... all the updates needed, updating computer or dedicated computers,...

after a while,..you realize that you paid as much or maybe more through time!,...but you don't feel it,...you think it was a big deel,..and that doesn't mean you make a better music.

it's a question of choice and of taste,... I choose simplicity

  • @Misterludo2 Well check my latest video, the beat was made entirely with plugins and sounds pretty good, I'm still undecided tho

  • you are right,...that sounds beasty! like it

I have no religion about one way or another to makes music,..in fact,...if you can afford both,..why not.

Anyway, as I said,..it's a matter of taste,..you fill ok with a motif? go for it, you prefer,... omnisphere? ok,..it rocks too : but MAKE music,...

    peace,

    ludo

  • This man had to be the inspiration for RED BULL... they were like "Wow, look at that Guy!!, can we get a sample of his blood?" stick around for 2:48...

  • Haha! This guy made me buy this thing back then. And I'm still happy with it!

  • actually, it's yabba dibbi doi dibbi di bop pa day

  • that guy should be on tv, i could watch him all day

  • motif es 6 for sale plz mail me for more info

  • what is the name of stand are you are using to hold the 6 and 8? thx for the vid

  • THAT GUY AGAIN WOW!

  • OMG Bert has some problems

  • такой энергичный парень, супер...

  • 1:35 Girl from Ipanema :)

  • That song at 4:47 would make a WICKED rap beat. Scott Storch style.

  • Irritating dutch accent! Luckely his playing makes up for it...

  • These boards are the high tech electronic instrument. I'm sorry some old fashioned players of skins and sticks find people who compose with them talentless. Composition is a different skill than playing.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaauhhh spain! viva espania, gitano, grasia, compas, arte , gipsies, oleee zu primo por moma-wela

  • How did the name MOTTIF come and what does the xs stand for

  • xs-EXPANDED SYSTEm

  • Thank you

  • I debating between the ES or XS? Obviously XS is new and has the most current technology and sounds...but ES is less expensive..

  • @KJEboys also just in case you didn't know they actually cut the number of effects on the XS the ES has about double the effects......but if you want arpeggiators or synth sounds go with XS which has about 5 times as many arps and a couple extra banks of pure synth sounds

  • I'm told you get more of everything on XS, but the step composer is gone. There is more straight forward way of working multi channels.

But I own the ES 8 and I just can't learn enough after 3 years to really use it completely.

Both instruments are, in my opinion, the worlds best and of course professional class .

  • LOL at the way he switched it on.

  • anybody know from wich song that arabia sound is at 4:48??

  • Do the keys light up too?

  • @djjimi lol What?

  • Remember the Lowrey Genie? Same concept.

It just seems to me that keyboards in the last 10 years are built to satisfy people with no ability to play themselves. It's one thing to create an orchestration via midi and play along live - at least then the tracks are your creation. This is just plain stupid laziness.

  • Lol true true but i have been in to music for some years and also ive played the motif. IAnd it is a top class keyboard if you really know to play. Its not exactly a one touch stuff except i guess the arpeggios and stuff. Im not quoting yamaha Ive found this keyboard a replacement for all my other instruments. There is nothing like playing in a real band though.

  • It sounds to me like you just can't afford one djjimi.

  • 1:38 LMAO @ SlapBert :)))))))) too funny

  • I wanna

  • what is the difference about xs & es & just e.g. motif 8 ?

    i don`t get it -.-

  • the xs is far more advanced than the es. It is the next keyboard in the motif series. Xs is so much improfed but far more expensivs.

    Hope this helps. -D

  • Motif XS8 works kind-of like a Mix between Motif ES8 and Tyros, but Motif XS has more memory.

Motif ES8 has more memory than Motif 8 (or Motif Classic)

  • He is not french hes from Holland

  • Guys dont forge that this guy is french and all french men are crazy.....but hey he is good at what he is doing though he memorized the whole thing...the evidence is I was him in an another video talking the same way he is talking

    .

  • Bert is Dutch.

  • Bert Smorenburg is a SPAZZ.

He gets on my nerves, and doesnt deserve the synth.

JK, JK but hes still annoying in this vid.

  • i was hoping you were serious cause that retarded sample at 3:37 was less annoying! i mean i get selling the product but his "enthusiasm" is phony at best

  • @kalpal67 Ok whoever made that sample deserves to die

  • lol!! if you find and kill them i'll provide you with a burial plot no charge! i'll just tell them its a long lost relative.

    oh and please be thorough

  • the piano still sounds artificial...

  • I would never say it is the same as an acoustic...but you understand that still sound artificial through this low youtube quality audio sample? Don't be silly...

  • Do a comparison with other brands' low quality samples....

  • anyway that would be an unfair contest by any means. Best i guess is to hear live some samples to have a good opinion. I do not attempt to support motif ( in fact it happens to have heard one of these and they are good to my ears ) but anyway judging through this sample is unfair to the musical instrument.

  • Yamaha reall needs 2 fire this guy cuz he is workin my nerve...too hyper like my little brother after drinking 2 much kool aid

  • agreed, very annoying :(

  • 3:36 lol

  • Great Bert!! The "Cocaine Man"......

  • Bert drinks a gallon of coffee before he shoots his vids

  • lol!

  • bilbring is you that stupid?

its like askin what is best between an old fucced up ford and a bentley!!!

  • i think the mikrokorg might be better; it has more knobs

  • wow even if bad grammar is cool sometimes you should never use it while asking someone "is they stupid"

i don't think i need to explain why

  • Comment removed

  • what? who the fuck are you and what did i say to you?

  • this guy is quite annoying

  • microkorg or this

  • You can really tell me you are choosing between those? :P It's one with not even real keys!!

  • I believe the microkorg is better. It has more stuff on it.

  • thats not correct! i have the xs8 and it has real hammered keys. i think the es8 has the same keys as the xs.

sorry for my english, but i´am german.

  • Hahaha...playin Crystal Waters 02:04!!

  • that's what i thought

  • this dude is a monster on the keys!!!

  • I hate this guy. Thats the secret. You hate him at first, so anything above that is uplifting, along with those nice Yamaha piano sounds :)

Not sure about the Rhodes though..

  • Hahahahahahahahaha!

Is this a good synth for a beginner?

I want to try and make dubstep if anyone has a clue how to, so is this a good starter?

  • Fruity Loops ! Lmao.

You can make dubstep on anything.

Any softsynth is capable of making those basslines and the drums are easy too.

Just add eq and compression and your off !

  • Oh right cheers.

I've got Reason, so i'll just use that.

    Nice one mate

  • Oh yea, Reason is good for the gander.

I'll save you alot of time by telling you, especially in any electronic genre of music, its 'mostly' about processing the sounds.

You can use any samples, any synths. If you've got an idea for a track or a sound in your head, get it down in Reason or something easy like Fruity Loops. Now, it will sound shit/cheesy to begin with, especially in comparison with commercial music, but this is where processing comes into it.

    contd.

  • If you are going to spend time doing something (this is if, you can even make a decent composition to begin with), spend the time learning and experimenting with processing.

Compressors, Limiters, Eq, Reverb, delay etc.

Once you know exactly how they work, and techniques used, and you can hear the impact you can make with the simplest bass drum sample(sometimes its only needed to trigger the fx chain), you'll be flying.

Next step is understanding where everything sits in the frequency spectrum

  • This guy is a total chode smoker.

  • Lmao. You can call me a chode smoker for not knowing what a chode smoker is exactly but, i can't wait to hear your definition lol.

All though, i get the idea lmao. I don't need to know what it is too know he is one.

  • Wish i could play like that...

    D:

    someday

    ;D

  • By the way, there are more Yamaha Motif videos on YouKeyboard

  • ben je nederlands

  • I really don't see the big deal in loading sounds onto an instruments. Now as far as arpeggiators, effects, arrangement, etc, fine. But don't buy a keyboard based on its sounds.

  • Some of us don't have the money to buy real instruments and equipment to record those instruments.

  • I think you mis-understood my statement. What I meant, is that sounds don't make a good keyboard, it's the features.

  • A keyboard can have a million and a half features, but if i don't like the sounds, I'm not going to buy it, cause i don't want it in my music.

The sound is important, and what the machine can do with that sound is also important. But if the sound just plain sucks, then everything sucks.

  • Can't the sounds be modified? I would assume these new keyboard take additional or replacement sound cards.

  • Fuck it - Sold.

    I'm getting one.
