geez swanee sound so much like jimmy page here eh? on yer John- i lugged for you- but you never knew- so we robbed the bar - hahahahah! roadies revenge!
The Party Boys was an Australian rock band with floating membership that existed from 1982 until 1992. Established by Mondo Rock bass player Paul Christie as a part-time venture for professional musicians with downtime from other projects, the group has boasted members from acts such as Status Quo, The Angels, Sherbet, Skyhooks, Rose Tattoo, The Choirboys, Australian Crawl, Divinyls, Models, Dragon and Swanee plus stars including Joe Walsh, Eric Burdon, Alan Lancaster and Graham Bonnet.
@wgooda actually the partyboys were formed by ex mondrock bass player 'paul christie' who is on the drums in the clip, ask him i think he would reform them again
@thedodgelodge I do agree but at least this cover rocks. Def leppard also covered this song and it's simply terrible. Kongos Rules, but this version is a nice 2nd.
@thedodgelodge , Jimmy barnes , borich , richard clapton , harvey james , jon farris , its australian rock looking after itself , you are a fucking idiot !!!!!
@wgooda "Jimmy Barnes" ah,, Nope, can't see him ANYWHERE in this clip, "Richard Clapton", hmm,, Nup !! Obviously you missed the point of the comment ? I'm just a purist who prefers MOST original writers versions! Nor did my comment deserve your childish reaction, but then YOU ARE CLEARLY someone who'd be on the phone voting for Jenny, or Chris, after their raping of a Hit song on The X Factor, or the like. Lastly, you slimy little pipsqueak, I defy you to EVER repeat your rantings to my face
@thedodgelodge Karaoke Singers?? You are a joke, this might be a cover but I hardly rate some of the best musicians Australia has ever produced Karaoke Singers. Maybe you should have a look and see who Swanee is or Kevin Borich maybe even Angry Anderson, This was a band to give some great Aussie talent an outlet to play and make a living. I'd give my left nut to see any incarnation of this underrated Aussie supergroup.
@thedodgelodge you obviously didnt do your homework before posting this reply. Those artists have played in the party boys at some time and that's what @wgooda was referring to and you probably knew that anyway. We didnt miss the point of your comment which was your reference to these guys being Karaoke Singers. Anything you said after that cant be taken seriously because you obviously know zero about a lot.
the bass player Alan Lancaster who was also in status quo was my teacher in 2000 in publishing at blacktown tafe when i studied music business...damn nice bloke and he helped me cheat on my final exam....stood over me in mulitiple answer and said "oh A dont you mean B"...thanx Alan hehehe
the original by John Kongos is in her too!
