It's not Isaac Hayes you're hearing, it's George Clinton.

The repeating bass & guitar riffs come from Funkadelic's "Mommy, what's a Funkadelic?" track that was released on their self-titled 1970 debut album.

My feeling is that culture is an exchange of ideas. Muddy Waters made "You Need Love". Led Zeppelin expanded that with "Whole Lotta Love". Funkadelic re-amped that as "Funky Dollar Bill". Tina emphasized Zep's sensuality in her version.

Creators inspire each other to bring something new to an idea. It's the essence of culture. Beyond that, we each enjoy the ones we enjoy.
