  • It's not Isaac Hayes you're hearing, it's George Clinton.

The repeating bass & guitar riffs come from Funkadelic's "Mommy, what's a Funkadelic?" track that was released on their self-titled 1970 debut album.

  • That's a good point. It does sound like Billy Bass' tough pulse. I should do some digging and find out if Billy and Eddie Hazel were doing some more of their mid-70's freelance on this one!

  • My feeling is that culture is an exchange of ideas. Muddy Waters made "You Need Love". Led Zeppelin expanded that with "Whole Lotta Love". Funkadelic re-amped that as "Funky Dollar Bill". Tina emphasized Zep's sensuality in her version.

Creators inspire each other to bring something new to an idea. It's the essence of culture. Beyond that, we each enjoy the ones we enjoy.

  • You just became my hero !

  • Well, Zeppelin´s the original, everything said. On the other hand that´s why the versions should be done for, to bring new things on masterpieces, she did it here. Great version!!!

  • this is great, tina has always rocked. but this is NOT better than led zep's version, folks. led zep had everything.

  • I hate saying it...but I think this version is actually better than Led Zep's!!!! It's so goddamn sensual.

  • sori but led zep's version is better

  • when you hear her talk about every inch of her love, amazing!
