I see a lot of overwatering and overfeeding going on.

Please flush the soil until the runoff EC is under at least 4.0 and quick-dry it by letting as much water run out of the pots by holding them at an angle, and put them on paper towels and newspapers for at least a few hours.

That way you can reduce the EC/PPM without adding to the overwatering.

Soil EC is as important as PH, because both usually go hand in hand.

And you should water with plain (ph-adjusted) water between feedings, until runoff EC has come down (either from the flushing, or the plant consuming the nutrients). This moves nutrients out of pockets of soil the roots have not yet reached to where they are.

Extra perlite soil both improves drainage and raises ph (perlite itself buffers to a PH of 7.0 or neutral).

And you should have a good drainage layer that is higher than the drainage holes in you pots (growrocks are good).

iv realized that forbegginers guides people have been saying just plop a seedinto the dirt and cover with soil, no make sure that whichever wsay the point of the sprout that is coming out of the seed should be facing directly towards the light, so that it does not have to change growth direction.. this wont help by a whole lot but it IS less stressful for a seeling.

the plants are grown from clones/cuttings this is why they are so large after just one week of groth. if you know the sex of the mother plant from which the clones are taken then you know the sex of the clones themselves because they are identical genetic copies of there mother. thus negateing the need for sexing the plants as they will all be the same sex as the mother plant in this case a female xxx.

Yes, we tried advanced Hydro growing, *first*, very ambitious and it ended in disaster. First with algae, then root rot, then the loss of the crop itself.

Then we went to soil, which was much more forgiving and did not require intense 24/7 care. Most of my crew have regular jobs so we can only attend to the garden after work and such.

im growing with a 65w cfl 24hrs of light but i dont think its enough wattage i think 100-200w would be better. do u suggest i use a 400w bulb for the flowering? how many hours? 12hrs on and 12hrs off??

Yeah, that is very weak light. You will certainly lack the lumen penetration with just 65w cfl.

A 400W HPS for flowering would be better. A 600W would be optimum. Yes, 12 hours on and 12 hours of complete darkness (make sure you have no light leaks)

We are trying to work out a LED + CFL to save on electricity draw from the conventional HPS methods. But the technology just does not seem to be there just yet.

Thanks, the lights were 1,000 watts HPS (High Pressure Sodium). We are Mac users, I used iMovie HD. I am still learning Final Cut Pro, so expect better movies in the future.
