Too bad the dumbass management at the Knicks office traded Felton for Chauncey Billups. I guess Melo wanted him, and they wanted more size, but Chauncey is 34 years old, Melo & Felton are both 26. In a couple or few years Chauncey will be old, getting ready to retire. Knicks have one of the worst management in the NBA. Felton was getting better too.
@SamuelMoralesJr I think you weren't up to speed with how the trade talks developed. Felton was not on the table initially but the Nuggets demanded that he be included. When word spread the Melo would take the extension with the Nets, the Knicks relented and added him and Mozgov to the deal. Consider losing him the consequence of adding the best pure scorer in the league. With this in perspective, I think it's much easier to accept since we still got better value in the trade.
@SamuelMoralesJr More importantly, Felton will be a free agent in 2012 when we'll have cap space to add both he and Dwight Howard. Considering the Magics woes and the unlikelihood that Felton accepts being a bench player for the Nuggets, I'd say that we have a good shot at making it happen.

I like Felton because he is a grinder but as a Knick fan I am not high on his signing. We need a true pick and roll PG which Felton isnt. Ridnour would have been a better signing or a trade for Sessions. Those dudes play pick and roll basketball better than Felton. Now Ray is definately more aggressive going to the rack then either of those guys but we need a pick and roll specialist to play with Amare. On the bright side, he is 1000x better than PuHon.
@cdav01 Ridnour woulda been ok. But no way are sessions or ridnour better ballers than felton. I know you didnt say taht...but what i mean is that feltons has more than enough passing ability to run the pick n roll.
Sessions has a struggling shot, which would negate teams worrying about him on the p n R...and i believe ridnour asking price was more than what knicks were willing to give. Felton is a much better fit in the uptempo offense than sessions or Luke
@bsems1000 - No I didn't say they were better ballers than Felton. Don't know where you read that but I didn't say it. I said they would be a better fits because they are strong pick and roll pg's. Felton is more of an attacker and will look for his shot off the pick. He is no different that Toney Douglas imo. I like both of them but this offense does not play to their strengths. Ridnour and Sessions read the floor off the pick better, which makes Amare better.
one of the most underrated point gaurds in the league today.
