who else thinks pharrell is losing his groove lately. The neps used to make great stuff, but this one feels like filler. I hate how he has to feature on every track he produces these days too.. let your beats speak for themselves. If they can't, they're lacking something.

I feel the same way. They dominated from the late 90s to the early '00s but now it just seems that they don't have that hunger about them..the desire to push the envelope. This track sounds to me like it's got the makings of the classic Neptunes sound but it feels a bit skeletal. I get the feeling that it isn't a fully mastered version though. Maybe it'll be touched up for Usher's upcoming CD.

@everynameseemstobe these are nothing but demos... The nepts and Usher have done so many songs that don't make the cut... Also most of their beats sound like this until it is mixed and mastered, Justified sounded just like this before they mixed and mastered it. But I would say they haven't lost it yet. They gave Lupe a good track, and they gave the Clipse some good tracks as well
